Good morning GG!
Just after 6 am here.
I have friends coming for lunch and decided to be brave. And cook. I bought a "poularde" to roast-quite yummy and is already pre-stuffed. Takes about 40 minutes per 500 g. So I'm looking at about 4 hours of cooking time here! Just checked what poularde is in English-a hen that has been spayed for fattening. God, I wish I had not looked that up! The French are some sick puppies when it comes to food!:H These things are reaaly good though. Never tried to cook one myself.

The French do love their wine but many people-especially women-just drink sparkling water. I have two bottles of Perrier chilling in the fridge. I've told my friend that if her husband would like to bring a bottle of red-he's welcome to do so. I have a lovely selection of cheese.

Almost bed time, yup! Poularde sounds much nicer than fat, sterile hen! I'd stick with that :H
Hello Mrs. A! You're up early, too!?
And... are you back from Dubai? (Sorry, I've only checked in now and then here)Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?
Winning since October 24th, 2013

Still dark here (peering out window) but no wind. I've not been out yet but pug dog will be asking soon. Trying to tidy up a bit while the fatty spayed hen is cooking :H. Starting to smell quite nice! Hopefully it will be ready before we leave for the pool. After swim practice (for the kids) we are walking back here for lunch-so I really need to have everything almost ready before we get back. Aughhhh!

No running today as I have a big shopping day going on.
My eldest daughter is getting married in 4 weeks and her sisters who live abroad have tried clothes on in Debenhams/River Island etc. in Oslo and Dubai and as they are much more expensive in both those countries, I am off to buy them here.
One daughter will not be home until Boxing Day and the other one 20th December/
Expat I love Perrier
