Evening all

Experiment with hazlenuts done..........the skin came off easier but it was still a pain......the biggest advantage was that all the skin came off whole and not patches. I have learnt that a quart of water is just under 4 cups and that baking soda is bi-carb. Now to roast them.

We moved house last year happy.......it astounded me how much stuff we had that fitted into our little cottage. This house is bigger so now we have more stuff.

OK, just realised that power surges have knocked all the security lights off........time to reset them before the thieving little buggers do the rounds tonight.

Morning Tawny!

I've been drooling over Stirly's photos too. Went there once for about 10 days and just loved it. Totally glorious weather, wonderful people and fabulous food. And I didn't see a MacDonalds the entire time I was there!

Looking forward to the recipe book Raggs! And I bought the DVD of Downton Abbey - think I watched the first season about 5 time, so I know I'll get lots of use out of it :H Happy - I have both seasons now, and if you want to borrow them off me PM me your address. It's incredibly good for providing quality "me time"!!

Also meant to say, Happy - good on you for the battery hens!!

I am feeling very sad and sentimental at this time year. NUMBER 3 and no. 2 son wont talk to ther father. He has been an absent father for the past 12 years and now they ar older they have p ut two and two together. He has spent this time amassing fusking fortune I RECKON he is at least a millionaire by now, But you can remember the troubles and heartaches that I have had with Row and he has been convientluy absent for most of time. Anyhow the boys have finally seen for themselves what a selfish person he is and it is not going down very well/ I am sad and I am disallusioned....Saff xx

Dearest Sapph,

Why should they talk to their father? I generally admire strong adult children who can finally say "I've had enough of this crap: it hurts too much, takes too much energy, causes me too much guilt, confusion, and pain, and he/she doesn't deserve, or apparently want, my love." I see that as healthy, but then I don't know the whole story. However, if I'm correct, maybe you could be proud of their emotional growth.
