Happy - that is so sad about your friend. It is always hard, too, when these things happen at Christmas time. Quite apart from everything else, there is the difficulty of getting treatment and answers to questions etc etc when everyone is on the summer go-slow. Thinking of her and praying that all goes well on Thursday.

I have a mountain of linen that I will need to use at Xmas for the family invasion and they have all turned yellow-ish since I used them last. Weather forecast is shit for the next couple of days and it is really humid, so the prospects of getting them dry are about zilch. So I soaked them in Napi-san this morning, and going to take them to the rooly big dryers at the laundrette down the road.

Don't know what has happened to the recipe books. All posted at about the same time. So they got to Ireland and USA before WA and QLD!!

Analogue tv was turned off in my area a couple of days ago. I now can no longer watch television., as I cannot receive the digital signal. Should I invite the minister for communications to an evening of televiewing at my place? Where's that Downtown dvd? I better buy some more wool.

Guess I can resort to scrolling through utube for funny videos!

Evening Undies...had a fantastic day. Wagged my meeting and met my friend and her little girl and my littlest locust played and we talked and had a cuppa and talked and had more cuppas. It is what it is but it doesnt mean it cant get better. So there you go...we shall see and I know she is as mentally prepared as she can be. Its going to be hard as theres no family to give support as such, long story and her story but we've made some plans, as much as we can. Anyway...time to have a read back, its that bloody quiet here I might have to go bug the Army again...

Aha. Yes. Been here before though. With my best friend - lived in the house behind when we were kids, we used to cheat in maths from age 11, she was my maid of honour I was hers and she had a baby and died from cancer 2 weeks after she turned 30. Then with my sister. It is sucky. And not like the movies at all. So I am trying not to let the memories of the bad stuff splat me like a truck. Gotta keep the good stuff coming.

I feel sad coz we are slack on the deccies. First up we were heading to Sydney and now with the house happening....will put my mind to it the next few days...
