Did my Chrissy grocery shopping tonight right before the store closed. It was wonderful, because no one was there. I am ready for the big day. I hope you have a wonderful sleep. See you in the morning!
Great to see you Sunnybump. You always give this ol' weatherbeaten (but quite handsome some say) rock dog a big smile when you post. :h

Orf to KTABS facebook page. Tonight, in chat ......there is (whisper) Gerard Depardieu (excuse the sp buddy), Kylie, James Packer, and Mylie Cyrus. Could be a late one.

And just quietly - theres a lot of work to be done!!! starting with cleaning, I dont think its been touched for a year...cleaning, patching walls - something tells me this guy liked nails - and ripping up carpet tomorrow. Floorboards in the bedrooms need to be coated... Gardens a disaster but we found two passionfruit...

We will have Christmas day off - I promise!!

Gotta go and feed the masses, back soon....
      Congrats, happyp!

Yep, gotta clean a place BEFORE I do anything else, esp bathroom and kitchen. Can't deal with others' funk.

Juja, Kaz lives up that way. Apparently she's ok at the moment.

            Good morning to all!

Happy - sounds like you have your work cut out for you, but it will all be so worth it in a couple of months when you have the place done up just how you want it!!

Rags - that's great that you can be there for your friend and no doubt you are also pleased to have a legitimate excuse to avoid the Xmas lunch!

TF - that cheese looked yummy! We are off to our local fresh food speciality shop when it opens in about half an hour - cheese is top of the list, and raspberries are second. Xmas morning breakfast is always raspberries and greek yoghurt (well, for the first course anyway!!! )

I've had a bit of a mammoth cleaning operation myself over the last week, in preparation for all my visitors who start arriving tonight. Everything has been dusted and polished and water blasted and steam mopped to within an inch of its life!! The house is looking pretty spick and span and I am reminded how much I like clean windows!! It has been a very long week workwise, but I now only have two small things to do this morning and then I'm done. This afternoon I will make up beds and marinate meat and then I am not going to lift a finger after that!!

So that's my job today. Haven't done a good solid clean since I got back.

Just picked a beautiful lot of cucmbers, beans, zucchini and a few tomatoes from the garden. What a lovely job for first thing.

It hasn't been warm enough here for my beans to even germinate yet :H And one tomato plant has three flowers on it but that's about it.

Morning Undies and Internationalists, thanks Juja and Cinders! What a lovely day! Techie how did you know that's what our new home looks like?? Spot on. Really.

I have a bit of a headache, can someone remind me NOT to eat copious amounts of chocolate when I'm nervous and then even more to celebrate??? Better than other crap but still...

Mr Happs alarm went off at three this morning, he promised he turned it off. BUT... So then he was lying there having a chat with the cats and trying to encourage me to wake up and be as Bridgee puts it, a good wife. Which was all ultimately too much, so hes gone to the house...lets justs say all patches now done, lounge room cleaned and being cut in as we speak. Sooo, I'm off for the day I reckon, better take him some brekkie and earn some brownie points.

Rags sorry to hear about your friend, and so lovely she can spend some time with you. Missy it sounds like your Christmas is all together and you and Mr Happs have the same bean thing happening.

Off to search for the elusive avocado tree, if I find it Mr G will let you know! Have left vego snacks for Sunnybump.

                      Morning All,

Gster such a lovely young man you are.

Our house sitting dogs woke hubs at 5. He wasn't happy, so he went to work. I slept til now. Anyways, a few errands today. Asian specialty store, and ice cream pick up, and then I am set. I am working 11 hours tomorrow so it will be a big one. Will probably come home and make my food for Chrissy as I don't think I can be bothered on the day. Hope you all enjoy the love everyone is putting out there!

It's weird isn't it? We've hardly had a tomato yet because there's been so much rain that they've all split and kind of exploded.

Good move for Xmas day Rags. Why shouldn't we spend it with whomever we want to? It's our day too.

Techie - I only just heard this news myself as I've been out doing Xmas stuff. I'm thinking of my ChCh friends - just yesterday I had a meeting with a couple of people from there, who said that what they wanted most for Xmas was a still and peaceful one. Honestly, those people down there have gone though so much trauma over the past 18 months, and my heart goes out to them.
