Underoos and Revered International Guests - December 2011

    Morning Undies et al...Hi RC!!

Misty and a bit drizzley here today...mr happs and middle locust out the door at 4.30 (?) painting - rolling all the rooms we cut in yesterday. Have ripped our bedroom cornice out, bloody termites are still active, which is what we feared. So have mate lined up to blast em then he can recornice and we can paint it. All in all its coming together and looks great with the new coat of paint...

I'm on drop for the other two locusts today. Eldest working split shift into the evening and little one has to help finish the Christmas shopping plus buy his Secret Santa gift. Have called a Hamnesty today - no more - or they'll have finished the whole ham, talking 8 kg plus the bone....looked at the little one today and he now just about my height....the other two are six foot so hes heading that way too which is good..

Morning all, Geez Happs - you guys are certainly steaming ahead. Fantastic stuff!

Now get this, Undies ... I ordered something online on the 20th coming from Kowloon so I expected it sometime after chrissy. It arrived at my front door yesterday arvo. 3 days door to door from China. Now our retailers are whinging about us shopping on line and buying stuff from o/s but hell ... why wouldn't you?

So long as the postal system works for you. Last count I'm missing:

        MIL package from NZ
Rags package - just as well she gave me my Delicious diary at lunch!
        Zennys card
Middle locust present for Secret Santa - I kinda thought we ordered this too late but while I'm whingeing
FIL sent 4 envelopes for the men of the family and middle locusts didnt show up

But yes Tawny it is crazy.

Now pouring with rain here, hope we have time to get the fence up otherwise the squishy house will be even squishier with the dog living inside 24/7 too.

          Morning all.

I am missing a lot of parcels too but couldn't believe that a book I ordered last saturday night from the UK turned up on Wednesday here.......that is a record even in normal times.

Having a moment of mild panic as I have not been grocery shopping yet and said I was going to the gym. What I really need is lots of cream......afraid not that I will be met with empty shelves.

Thank you, RC, Juja and Techie - and a very Merry Christmas back atcha.

So, Undies ... sorry for those of you who have to work today but I'm now officially in Pink Dress mode. The Blunnie are off and shall remain so for the rest of the day and tomorrow. Don't know if I can keep it going through Boxing Day - we shall see.

Assembled a great-looking Mufaletta last night which should make for a delish lunch today and tomorrow I'll uphold a long-standing tradition with an old mate when we shall sit down to tomato and onion sangers. The sangers must be made early in the morning so they're nice and soggy; the bread must be sliced white; the toms big fat super ripe truss ones and the onions must be thickly-sliced salad onions, all sprinkled with far too much pepper. And we shall gloat and think about the rest of Oz going mental over the hot hams, turkey etc. in expected 34C heat. It's just one of those personal traditions that I like to embrace.

Apart from that, I have a stack of lovely reading and viewing matter and do not intend to step off the property until at least the 27th.

                Merry Christmas, you lovely ratbags.

                            Oh my Dog, YUM!
Is that one of those sangas you make ahead of time and weight down in the fridge.
I think it's time I moved in. Bugger of Trippy and Techie. I asked first.

Well I've had a gloriously relaxing day with a quiet last minute wander through a nearby village-y thing-o to buy some Turkish bread for the homous and beetroot dip.

Now a touch of light chopping and saute`ing for the afternoon to the dulcet tones of 'Mr Hanky, The Christmas Poo'.......the boy's favourite Christmas viewing. Thankyou South Park

Oh and we are also indulging in our annual Christmas 'Go and mow the lawn' show down.

I like the look of that exhausted locust. I like it a lot.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
