Morning Undies and Internationalists! Missy your juice story made me laugh and I agree about the PJs - new ones would have been doomed.
Its just started raining here and looks to be like this all day so a good day to work. I've confiscated the game controllers from the locusts because I am annoyed with them for playing late last night without permission...so there...
Can probably spill my secret....99% we have a house. A little house so dog knows how 5 people are going to fit but we'll make it work. And it needs a bit - a lot - of work. Just waiting for valuation to come in. And heres the thing, hoping to settle before Christmas...so thats a nice present hey? So cross all the necessary body parts for us please

Rags you sound master chef worthy. I reckon it could be your next adventure.
TF, no matter what you say, we all know you're just a lovely beautiful woman with a heart of gold!
MB, good one on the juice. That is something I normally do.

Okay, so I am posting in the wee hours because I am having my first night of insomnia due to pregnant belly baby. Going to have to say not my favorite thing as I LOVE my sleep. I finished my Christmas shopping (mostly) today, what chaos it is out there. The best part is you can get your presents gift wrapped by just donating a gold coin per gift to care flight at the shopping center.
In other news, went to the hospital to visit my girlfriend who just had a baby girl. She is 37 and this is the result of having tried IVF a few times and miscarriage a few times. Holding that beautiful new baby was so amazing. So happy for them.
Hubs is sick and having a rough go of it. Reading has taking over my tv watching until something worthy comes on. Going to call my mom now and sip on my apple tea. I might just end up staying awake until tomorrow through work, then having bed time at 4pm. How do people do it?

Morning ratbags,
Sunny I am sure that mother nature prepares us for sleepless nights when bub has arrived, well in advance. The best things that you can do is to catch up during the day, even for half an hour. It is amazing what you can become used to....I used to think that I would die from sleep depravation, but here I am, alive and kicking.
Morning Geestar, Zernny Girl and other ratbags to venture this way.
Platitude for today "I am going to have a good day today, no matter what comes my way"
Tread softly, laugh loudly and wickedly, (apparently I do) and live as joyously as the moment allows.

Message for Tawny Frog,
You have successfully shamed me into mowing my own lawns. And saving me a stack of loot that I cant even afford in these lean times. Thankyou oh wise one. It took three goes with the mulching mower, followed by one more with a catcher to clean up my yard. The grass was literally knee high in some places. We have had lots of rain and no chance for burn off so the gardens are crazy.
I now feel so holy that I think I will don saffrion robes and sit in a corner chanting for the rest of the day.I am part of the family of humanity. Not one person on this earth is a stranger to me. - Rev. Ted Noffs

Happy, the house news is wonderful. I hope the settlement runs smoothly. When are you thinking of doing the big move? Will the kids have to change school?
Sunny, for imsomnia, do what I just stupidly did.... at the local mall I got a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle for $4.99. I am going nuts doing it. Don't know why I bought it as I'm no good at them. But it is on the breakfast room table gradually getting converted into a 600 piece jigsaw puzzle.. Me masterchef. Nup, I 'm a bit of a slap it together and hope it works girl. I reckon Tawns creations would beat them hands down.
Speaking of food, the school I volunteer at put on morning tea for all the volunteers yesty. And I had these TERRIFIC asparagus rolls. Tracked down that the Kindy teacher made them, so I sidled over to her to get the recipe... she was chatting to another person and was just finishing giving her the recipe... Here it is. They are YUMMO as Beags says.
Kindy Teacher's Asparagus RollsGet rooly rooly fresh sliced white, crusts off, roll out thin. Spread a little bit of hot english mustard (sparingly, and no, don't use deejohn or other fancy mustards), get Kraft Processed Cheese in the blue packet from the shelves not the fridge area (this is important she said, as other cheese melts too much and you need the solidity of this wondrous Kraft product) Bung a slice of cheese on bread, bung an asp a grass spear on bread, pepper, (and something else I can't remember but hopefully not too important) then roll them up end side down on baking paper. melt butter, paint on bread, bung in oven till they' start to go golden. They were a HUGE hit... first things to go. Apparantly you can make them up before hand and freeze them for a day if you want to. Anyway, I'll find out the missing ingredient, and this'll go in the next edition of the Undies cookbook.
