I agree, Happy, with a younger child. But he's approaching manhood, right? It couldn't hurt to just ask the question. JMHO, again. Sometimes when they're that age, it's better not to involve the parents, since they're already dealing with a teen. I agree I'd be ticked off at not being in the loop, but when do we start giving responsibility? Every situation is different. Again, JMHO.sigpic

I'm sure i made Ron01 smile once.
Remember some time ago when svetlanka017563 and jimdavis45624 where muscling in on his territory here? Well, i felt sorry for Ron so i p.m'd him and bought some blinds. Sure, they never did arrive, but that's not the point.

You know I honestly don't know what I'd do about that camera. People have broken and damaged a lot of my property over the years, and I must admit I haven't confronted them about it. Perhaps I should have because I ended up feeling quite poorly about them after that. As a matter of fact I spend a lot of time avoiding confrontation......hmmm.......not an overly useful response. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

coming from someoone who doesn't have kids, i'm never backward in coming forward to approach them directly, & ask politely, or if he's being a turd, ask sternly, wtf happened to my camera. if he's a decent kid he'll blush profusely, say sorry aunty tawns, i was trying to do thisssss.....if he's a shit then he'll require a fairly good talking to. bugger the time of year etc, he is 16, & should take responsibility. but fairness & directness have always worked well for me.
& yes hello.
i'm quite in a ticked off mood atm, for no reason except the usual, & finding it difficult to think serene thoughts each day.
fun thing though : went for a ride today aboard mr trusty steed, leading young filly & letting pregnant mare loose to join us. it was fabulous to see preg mare gallivanting all over the shop, until she decided that chasing poor golden retr was great sport. in a 500 acre paddock there's nowhere to hide!!! so poor Rosie had to come screaming back to me, aboard mr trusty steed, trying to climb his front legs to get up with me!!! poor love. much growling at preg mare eventually had desired effect. exercising 3 horses at once requires dog to be tied up next time!!!
attention missy! attention miss! i am making meatloaf today & ROOLLY need your recipe , otherwise i'll just bung some shit together & hope for the best....if you come on deck today PLEASE repost it....or ANYONE repost it! argh!

Beagle, great post. I can't take my dogs fishing with me in the mountain trout stream, because if we throw back a trout, they immediately dive in and catch it again before it gets its fishy little head together.sigpic
