        That's OK, Nelz, you're WAY to smart to every come here! :H She is constantly getting the 'WOW' factor, but inside she's still a little girl (at least to me). I didn't even add those cakes, cupcakes, when sliced poured out liquid chocolate. (I hear your lips smacking).
        Fen, I LOVE words, even as a kid. Today I'm forgetting some of them, at least at the moment I want them. (SHUT UP, SUN!)

          Day 8 AF !

          Still have the sweats. I am having strong cravings, glad their some posts I go to that keep the cravings somewhat away. I was the gallon of rum a day drinker. If I can do it, you can too....

            NC, just be SURE you keep drinking that water. We don't know we're dehydrated sometimes, and if we wait till we're really thirsty, we're already severely so. Also, if you get too bad with the withdrawal, get medical help, please. It may be embarrassing, but it could also be a godsend for you. You could luck up with some of our great US docs and get a very empathetic one who will guide you to more help available. Mine called me at home regularly to check on me, and it meant a lot. I hope you have people helping you. Sometimes this is too much at first, but it DOES get better. There will be other roadbumps ahead, but you are working this, guy. Always come here, PM us, if you need help, OK? And yours WAS a heavy addiction, so be serious about the medical care.

              Thanks for all the great support. I am thinking about medical care atleast to check my liver, which is a scary thought. Though needs to be done.
              Thought the cravings would go away but they calling me still.. just have to do more reading and keep busy.

                NC, cravings will come at extremely odd times, even down the road. Getting through them is usually the answer. But recognizing the behavior, triggers, helps lorry loads, as Sunshine says, and you're in the beginning stages. Hold on, you're weathering this well. And yes, a check-up is vital, and also a great incentive when we really feel tempted. But regular checks will help you understand how being sober is helping you all the way around.

                          My in-box is full, I've had one hyper 8-y/o, a nearly 14 y/o showing me her cheerleading dance routines, a hungry husband and a newly blinded one-dday SIL and Tay, chasing me around. Last time I was asleep was yest AM, and I'm remarkably functional, but the young herd has cleared out (OH, didn't mention the Christmas lists I got, with incredible detail), 3 begging dogs, 2 insane needy cats, and stiil have to feed my own Poppa Bear. Phone rang all day. So much for cleaning. I've decided the only solution here is a blow torch.
                          Promise to talk to you all each soon, and, OH YES! I adore you all. I'm fine. Have seen many of my favorite people today, and though I had to stuff orange slices into Grace, it was a good one.

                              Shall crash into the feathers in a short few. Sitting down with Hubs and eating my fav aunt's (born in 1912) recipe for hamburgers I LOVED, has plucked all my feathers. No PM's tonight, please. Full anyway. Phone won't bother me; think I'll be comatose. However it WILL get peeps the hibernating bear, Gawd help them one and all. Trust me, not a pleasant experience, and he has an extremely colorful command of the English/Southern language when riled and roused. I don't even poke him with sticks then. :H
