      AF for December

Will be going to bed soon. I am sober and I had fun tonight. I saw a friend tonight that drank from11am till he past out around 12 hours later. I may have not been that bad even at my worst, however if I didn't do something about it when I did, I know I would be my friend some day. Worst part is that he has to work in the morning. I am so glad that my drinking days are done. I feel real good inside that I didn't get that bad.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Drifty, it's hard to watch someone do that to themselves, isn't it?! You just want to shake them and say trust me, life can be so much better.........you think what you're doing is satisfying, but you're really creating your own personal hell............I'm so glad to be free of that trap!

Yes, I wanted to tell him that he had a problem with his drinking, but I didn't feel it was the right time to tell him.

I understand. Maybe some day you can help him - or at least be an example by how you live your life.

                Day 18 AF
These cravings are really getting to me escipicially tonight, had my ex wife call me and say some very hurtful things, I guess I am very sensitive, my mind was set to go get that bottle, and its not there.... trying to stay occupied and read and read and thank you all for your support.

Hang in there Guy! Things will be so much better without the AL. It will not solve any issue that you are going through, it will just make it worse. Day 18 is excellent, and lets make it do Day 19!

You are doing a great job! Have you tried L-Glutamine for the cravings? It helps me a lot. Are you over your shakiness?

                          I am hanging in there.

I got tomorrow and then Wed. is my 7th month AF anniversary. I am not going to ruin it by drinking tonight. I will worry about tomorrow, tomorrow, but I won't drink tomorrow neither.

Wow these cravings, the glutamine is not helping... just more stressors come into my head and first thing to do is like Ive done in the past is to grab that bottle, But I will not , I keep saying that to myself and its worked. though the cravings are insane even after this time. I am glad for all the support this site has.

Guy, the feeling of being drunk is becoming more like a distant memory for me. My new sober self is starting to feel more natural. Sure hope you can stick it out, cuz it's really worth it. Have you tried chewable L-Glut?
