AF for December
Guy the cravings will get better with time as long as you don't drink. Hang in there and great job on getting to day 20. I know that you can beat this.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

This is the first xmas I can remember not drinking - now that seems like an accomplishment! Happy to say that I didn't have too hard a time - every now and then I kinda looked over at a glass of wine and thought for just a split second, then I moved on and didn't look back. It wasn't too hard at all - nothing like trying to recover from a hangover if I had indulged. Feeling happy and content.

Hey, mind if I join you. I had my first sober Christmas in years. I watched the others drink and of course I wanted to but I thought about the morning and waking up with no hangover. This morning was awesome. I slept in and woke up with no headache.
First sober Boxing Day in years too. We were supposed to go to a party at friends but I just couldn't bring myself to go. I stayed home and played a new dance video game with my son's girlfriend. It was a blast.
Congratulations to you all!!Don't worry, be happy!

I have the NA beer for NYE and just going to buy a bottle or two of Cream Soda to help celebrate it. (I will pour the cream soda into the wine glass when the ball drops (I watch the NYC one at 11 and then my time). I was invited to a party, but I don't have a lot of money so the plan is to stay home (even if I do go to the party, I won't drink).I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

One thing that helps me stay sober is to watch drunk people/hungover people on youtube to remind myself of what drinking will do to me. I feel so good that I plan to never be that way ever again. And I won't be, and it will happen with taking it ODAAT and making sure that AL stays out of my life for good.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Alison, it helps me to read about and see documentaries too. That overt reminder helps me stay on track, which is why I do it often. I don't ever want to slip into complacency again. Starting over is a bitch, so let's keep it going!!
