    Army Thread3rd December

    Good morning peeps.
Well its just 5am and I am wide awake and Fudge has already had a scrap with next doors dog. Happy days :H
Had a very full on week at work and also had quite an emotional time lately what with one thing and another. I can see how easy it would be to say just one drink to ease my mind. Not thinking of drinking at all, but I need to keep my guard up a bit more at this time of year and with stuff going on in my life just now must make doubly sure I have all bases covered.
Dont get me wrong, I am in a good place but just on a bit of a rollercoaster at the mo. So much has changed for me this year, and sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming.
I hope you are all tickety boo. :l

    Good morning Starty:l
I agree-it's a tricky time of year. I'm trying to focus on all the positives but I do get emotional during the holiday season. Guilt at not going "home" but actually glad that I'm not because there is always so much drama.
Come hang out with us a bit more in the Army. We miss ya.

Hiya Expatty. I know how you feel. I feel guilty for feeling this way too
Yes, I must come round more. I do feel tho, that as I am not able to be here as much as I used to I cant keep up with whats happening with everyone. And then I feel guilty for just jumping in and not necessarily commenting on whats been going on with individuals.

Same here. I've been working my arse off and I can't go on MWO at work. We only have computers in the teachers room and it is not private AT ALL! By the time I get home I'm tired and the kids are hanging all over me, have to help with homework, fix dinner etc.
I think I need to learn how to multi-quote so I can keep up and make more comments.:H
But I think our Army is an understanding lot so they would probably just prefer you poking your nose in when you can.:l

          Good morning Starty and Expatty.

Yes an emotional time of year for lots of people. Having to be vigilant myself.

Had a great night out and was quite amazed at how much alcohol get consumed by my running friends.

            Hiya Mrs A
I always find it surprising other peeps drinking habits. Its very hard not to judge too.

Expatty, I think multilquoting would just confuzzle me

Had only 4 hours sleep at most but I am off to do my Saturday morning 5k parkrun.
Tomorrow I have a 10k race in Wales.
That should keep me out of trouble.
I plan a little sleep this afternoon
Funny thing about watching others drinking shedloads of booze is that I feel a real sense of relief that I do not have to do that anymore.

Good grief Mrs A. Dunno how you do that after so little sleep!
I am relieved to be off the merry go round too. But occasionally, I do wonder if I am missing out. Even tho I KNOW Im not really.
Anyway, off for a spot of dogging. See you all later

You are a star Mrs. A!
Speaking of stars...here's a clip to help us wake up. I'm off to walk pug dog and then have a quick shower. I'm going to the hairdressers at 9. I'm going for a cut kinda like the brunette girl in the video. Help.:H

Having just fallen off the wagon I am so grateful to be back on board. I will do ANYTHING to keep my sobriety. Hence all the running.

                          Good morning Army

An ignorant squirrel is better than no squirrel, I say :l

We're being blown to smithereens by the southeaster. I had to give the garden an emergency watering to minimise the damage. The pool is a right mess :upset:

Nice post last night, Expattie. Couldn't agree more. :l
                          I'll do whatever it takes
