The ONE good thing about Wob having a hangover is that he SCRUBS the house.....I don't know why actually, I thinks it's to prove he is not as bad as he actually feels.
In any case, I am not complaining."It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

Morning army...
Emptied a whole cuppa tea reading back, so I'm gonna stick the kettle on again. Got to go to the shop after that cos there'll be no teabags left and no sugar :upset:. More cleaning to be done after that, methinks.
Hope you all have a great day

:hallo: again!
YEAH! I actually came out of the hairdressers without crying. She did a really good job and it should be a style that is easy to take care of. I hate fussing with my hair so that's a good thing.
It's windy, cold and raining today-pretty blah. But I promised my son that we'd go get the Christmas tree and I have some food shopping to do. Hopefully we can get it all done as quickly as possible and then get back inside the cosy house.
I think I need earplugs-not for snoring-but because of my son. His screeching, chanting etc is really getting on my nerves. I am seriously thinking of medicating the child. I've tried herbal treatments, changing the things he eats (no white sugar or dyes etc)-they do not work-he has therapy three times a week-helps a bit I guess. I've held off going the medication route-in fact I was dead set against it-but he is constantly in trouble at school (can't concentrate, can't sit still) and at home he's just bouncing off the walls. Imagine a "normal" hyper child and multiply by 20. Not kidding-I was a school teacher for years so I have a good idea of "normal" hyper and just feckin borderline freakish behavior.I know he's a classic case of severe ADHD but I hate the idea of drugging my child. A friend told me the other day that it could actually be doing him a service because he must be suffering -constantly getting punished at school, told to calm down etc -when because of some kind of chemical imbalance or whatever-he just CAN NOT calm down. So that is my goal for next week-get in touch with a childrens hospital in Paris -he'll have to see a neurologist, get all kinds of tests done ... If I have to put him on medication I want it to be done by specialists in the safest possible conditions because I know there can be side effects from those drugs.:upset: I love my little fellow and just want the best for him.:l As some of you might remember -his "father" is bi-polar and it's supposed to be genetic. So time to get my head out of the sand and be thankful we live in a time when these illnesses can be treated. (Though the father refuses to take his medication and is a violent and dangerous man. I don't want that for my son and if we don't take care of this now-what am I going to do when he is bigger than me and I'm a single mother? )
Sorry for venting-this whole thing has just been doing my head in.

Thanks, JC. That would be a nice gesture to Mrs Speed.
Glad your visit to the hairdresser went well expatty . Sorry you're having problems with your son, it must be very trying at times. :l I don't think you have anything to lose by taking him to see a neurologist to find out what treatments, if any, are available. Maybe the neurologist can prescribe suitable drugs and maybe he/she can't. If the drugs aren't working well or have bad side effects, there's nothing to prevent you from discontinuing the treatment or asking for your son to be tried on different drugs. I wish my parents had taken me to see a neurologist when I was a child. Instead, they ignored my problems, so I'm having to deal with all that shite now and I expect to be prescribed drugs soon (currently waiting for another appointment). My parents' and my inability to face up to my neurological issues are the main underlying reason why I developed a drink problem. Don't know if any of that is of any help to you, just relating my experiences and passing on my thoughts.
