For those of us who have followed the travels from day 1, it was devastating (yes! I mean devastating!) that the Tigger didn't make it back to Tipps. What a wonderful collection of souveniers he could have brought back to the Cubs. And I really believe that the simple stuffed animals have the capacity to bring education, pleasure and fun - not only to us ole pissheads, but also to our kids who have been following their travels.

Expat was kind enough to risk resurrecting the concept and started us off with brilliant Parisian stuff. Please, let's try to get this brilliant concept back on track.
    Well said Tawny.

I am sorry I was negative on the piggie thread but I just could not help myself, I hate the fact we are being taken for feckin idiots and I have had enough pm's to know a LOT of people feel the same, I guess I just wanted that known. I spent enough of me life being taken for a fool and I no longer suffer fools gladly.

Piglet is a LOT more than a stuffed toy and if you cannot see that....well nuff said.

                Rant over.

                Morning, cold one here today.

                    Hear hear,
I tried to bring it back by having the Teddies go on a South Pacific search for Piglet.
Same as they did for Tigger. I loved that Tigger thread and was so cheesed off that he was lost. And probably not in the mail. And I met a whole heap of people I wouldn't normally have met... Stirly, Kimberley spring instantly to mind.

I've given up on the piglet thread. I think some contributors just don't get the concept.

Hey Molly, it's ok to feel pissed off, that does not mean you will drink (you won't) but rather than sweep it under the carpet and pretend it is not happening, you are right letting yourself feel miserable, it is a valid feeling , just like being happy, the only difference is this time you won't turn to the booze. BIG hugs xx

The quote "It is just IS a stuffed piggie after all!" annoyed me. Well, YES, in reality he (I can't call him "it") is just a soft toy but he's a symbol of MWOers sharing a part of their world AF. I look at the MWO journey as a bit more than us just playing with a toy. But obviously some people just don't get it.Well put ExPatty. My thoughts exactly.

I was devastated too, Tawny, when Tigger went missing. I was so excited that he was going back to Tips and that the Cubs would have those souvenirs that we all sent along for them.
This may sound silly but I still remember the courier man bringing me the parcel - I still have the envelope by the way - and how moved I was that SweatyBetty had sent him to me since I hadn't been a member of MWO for all that long - just 6 months or so. She had sent him by courier so there would be no more delay since her husband had forgotten to mail him out when she asked him to. She was honest about it tho' and, as I said, sent him by courier so he would get here within a few days.

The realities of life are catching up with me this morning I'm best ignored really -- I just let myself be miserable for a while and then I pull my self back up by my boot straps Don't worry --- booze will NOT be a factor
Sorry you're feeling low Molly. AL will not help and it's good that you realize that and can get past it.

Please don't give up on the thread, Rags. MH is trying to keep it going and needs our support. And it was lovely meeting all of you people through Tigger. Such a shame that someone decided they would be better off with the souvenirs instead of making sure they got to Tips. I expect some customs worker was involved. The thing is that it doesn't cost more that a few euro extra to send something registered mail and that would have ensured that the parcel got to the next destination or it could have at least been tracked back if it was late arriving.

                            Wishing you all

                            Oh, and just saw this...
