Yeh when we look at it logically, getting ourselves into a condition where we lose control of our full facilities is about the most illogical thing a person can do, especially as a repeat behaviour. But then since when does logic come into it when a mind altering substance is being consumed.
I know I have been saved from myself on many occasions when drunk. A couple of years ago a guy I knew for many years and was often drinking with come out of the pub and was pretty drunk. He didn't make it home and the next day was found dead. Apparently he sat on a wall for a rest on the way home and fell backwards and banged his head. It can happen that simply.

Yeh the guy was only in his 30s and definitely one of us imo but never found his way out.

Get you on the Hoff now Oney. Wonder how Rob will take this when you show him. I know if it was me I would probably have seen it as interfering and trying to control me and probably have gone off on one, but thats denial for you. Just be careful, it could have the opposite effect if not handled correctly.

                      Yo yo HP Saucy Gal,

Yep it's not just the body giving out over too much alcohol. The number of accidents other than traffic that happen is mind boggling.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

He is up now and I showed him and he said, that he is going to have a dry Christmas.....I hope for his own sake he does, I wouldn't mind so much if we didn't have kids but any of them could have come down and seen him in that state.

9.43am and Starty is still in bed, such decadence, is this a first I ask myself?

                            Hi Happy & JC.

I remember being passed out on the front room floor, the remains of a flagon of cider beside me one sunday morning and my toddler came in and sat on me. Not one of my prouder memories.

                                morning all

went to Bath yesterday and came back with 2 more purple tops. I really am addicted to buying purple things but it is much more fruitful than drinking. And one of them was a total bargain from the market at 10 quid

Today we are going to put up the tree so the kids are all excited.. pics to follow hopefully
I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....
