CONGRATULATIONS UNWASTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Thanks Nelz for posting for me. You really are a super support person for me and so many others here. :l
Tipps, it feels amazing and I'm thrilled. I really struggled over the last year to find a way to continue drinking at some level. Finally, the realization of sober being better has become internalized - that never happened before. I always felt like I was missing out. For me, the trick was just to keep at it. I tried every combination of things........here is a list of different things that never did work:
Went from daily drinking to drinking only on weekends
Switched from vodka/wine to beer
Ate dinners out early on weekends and had drinks at that time of day to mitigate sleep disturbance
NONE of it worked in the long run. It's a relief to be off the roller coaster! I'm feeling very proud of being able to cope with life on its own terms. And, I have to say, I could not have done it without the support and information I've gotten from this site. Invaluable. Thanks everyone.
