      Evening all.
So sorry about your problems Jan. I have no pearls of wisdom to offer. I just know parenting is hard but equally being a child is also difficult.
      Hugs to everyone.

          Army Thread Thursday 15th December

:hallo: We finally found house and pet sitters for the weekend. A young couple, one half of which is returning to Demark on Monday. They're currently staying with friends of theirs. No wonder they said they don't need to know how the TV setup works

          Stirly? Multi-quote? Pretty please?

Yes that must indeed be a big relief Anon. When health problems arise it can quickly put other things we thought so important into real perspective.

People simply don't have any extra money. Christmas is coming up and December and January are the two months that have the most Name Days so they are a financial strain all round. Lots of presents to buy and no money to buy them with. People's hours and therefore their pay cheques are being cut back and that makes it even worse. Some people are really starting to feel the crunch and feel it badly. And my guess is that we haven't seen the worst of it yet.
I read today that Greece is on course to have its worst recession ever this year, stirly. More cuts in government spending will definitely be required so, as you say, it's unlikely that you have seen the worst of it. But I hope that your store can still survive for as long as you want/need it to.

Until we moved out of the city 6 years ago, we used to drive by the Acropolis every morning. At one point on our route, it was directly in front of us, but in the distance. One day I realized that I was looking at it but not really seeing it and I thought of how many thousands of people travel to Greece every year and one of the highlights of their holiday is to visit the Acropolis. And we take it for granted that it's there and don't really see it. Next time you've got some decent weather, take your camera and go take some pictures. The you'll see what I mean.
I understand what you're saying about the Acropolis. I visited it about 25 years ago and also the classic Olympic stadium (that you posted a photo of on the piglet thread). They were both stunning. But if you drive past the Acropolis every morning it's going to stop having such an impact on your senses after a while.

Easier said than done I am sure, but if you could find a way to see Ollie as a rambunctious 9 year old and not let him see that he can get under your skin, he may behave himself a bit better. When they see they're getting to you, they go all out! Its just the nature of children... they all do it... they're wee master manipulators when they can get away with it!

I reckon try to not react to him... if he isn't getting a rise out of you he'll get bored with it...

And try and get both of you into abuse counselling... that's a really good idea.
I have next to no experience of dealing with children, but this all makes a lot of sense to me.
