    Hi Anon.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Good morning Tippers, Zenners, Starters, Mollers, KTabbers, Mrs A, Expatyy and all those yet to drop by.

Oooooooh it's just lovely to have a read back and see the Army so busy.

Where to start, where to start? That is the question.

Bewdiful pictures, Tippers. My first dog was bulldog and they are a joy.

Starters, wearing something inside out is supposed to be lucky. So go and get yerself a lottery ticket.

Oh and I hear what your saying, Starts. It still hurts from a while back when some one called us long term abbers 'holier than thou' as if I'm ever going to forget how blooming awful those few final weeks of my rock bottom were.

Tabbers, my lovely, lovely friend. You're still here and still fighting. It would be a damned sight easier for you to bugger off and let the bottle swallow you whole, but you don't.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

The only bad thing about sleeping so late is that EVERYONE is awake and demanding attention so I don't get my usual quiet morning "me" time. Can't have everything, I guess!:H
          Gorgeous pics Tips!
Great to see you KTAB and everyone else too of course.
Off to take care of kids and the dog.

Good morning army and happy Sunday!

Tips, I'm completely with you on the elder brother thing, although possibly for different reasons. My brother hardly drinks at all and it annoys the hell out of me when he asks about my drinking and starts offering platitudinous advice about a disease he simply does not understand.

Changing the subject, I'm really impressed with your photographic skills and you clearly have lots of beautiful things to photograph where you are.

It's freezing here, so the car windows will need de-icing. Went for my usual walk late last night and was lucky not to end up on my behind on several occasions. It was like an ice rink at times.

Thank you for introducing me to the phrase "VPL", starty!

Can't offer any advice ktabs, except to reiterate what Molly said about not isolating. We need to really drum it into ourselves to come here when the drinking urges come calling. I totally agree with you about the importance of being honest when posting about how we are feeling.

Totally agree with you, too, molly.

Very difficult going round Sainsburys lately. The feckers stick discounted whisky and other spirits in very prominent positions at the end of each aisle cos it's Christmas. They are actively encouraging people to get p*ssed. One or two folks were talking (yesterday was it?) about how selling alcohol should be banned. IMHO it wouldn't work because it's too easy to make your own, but I would definitely be in favour of a minimum price per unit. If whisky was twice the price it is, I doubt I would have ever got myself into the mess that I did.

Thats exactly it JC, it hurt and still does. So even if we arent drinking, we are still sensitive alkies at heart.

I was called sanctimonious too but I don't give a shit, call me what you like, I AINT DRINKING! and if that makes me sanctimonious, self righteous, selfish, boring, goodie two shoes, I don't give a wank. I am not drinking and that's all i care about, the opinions of others used to really bother me, not I couldn't care less, I am happy with me and if that bothers you, thats your problem.

                                rant over.
