Can I ask something without being selfish?!?

I am struggling these past few days, especially in the evenings. I am crabby, bored and just don't know what to do with myself. Quite a few times I have sat here watching my OH drinking wine and I am so damn jealous. Having worked really hard for months to get better and more confident I kind of feel that it's draining away

I know Christmas is hard
Also the idea of a sober CHristmas is freaking me out
And I haven't worked in over a week. I think that makes me go a bit mental

Any ideas? Or should I just go piss off and get on with it?!?

I think Mario bought JC a CD of the song she posted on here?

Hi guys

Pingu, you are at 9 months right? Some say that there is a pattern and people might really have tough struggles at 3, 6 9 18 months. Something to do with PAWS I think. But in any case its very common to struggle at these times. I know I had some sever wobbly feelings and I was fuckin miserable. I dont know if this helps, but it does pass I promise. Holidays dont help either Im afraid. I wasnt confident about having time off work until I was about a year off the stuff. Hope this helps a bit xx

Ah Pingu, hun. You sound as if you've got a bad case of the mid-winter blahs.

Reckon it happens to a good few people this time of year, regardless of whether they're drinkers or not.

The expectations landed on everyone are horrendous.

Would it help if your OH didn't have a drink every night

not really, he don't drink every night but just recently I have really wanted to join him, plus we went out for lunch to a place that I used to go and neck 3 pints of yummy cider and it made me really sad drinking my appletise

sorry maybe I just have that winter meh thing, I just feel a bit crap and I want to cry but I can't because I'm on fucking medication which strips me of all emotions
