In my own life I feel I'm neither fish nor fowl. Don't fit in with the olds nor the youngsters. But I see in Jill exactly what you are talking about. She's really sad about leaving home and family -- and very excited about going back to Canada --- but she refuses to call it 'home', home is here to her and she feels a bit 'split'.
