See Undies, this message, sent the message to Missy B, via Rags. Who gives a rats fats clacker. I say...this year we all concentrate on what we can achieve, versus what we think we are not able to do. If we start second guessing ourselves, that is the perfect time to have a crack at it...whatever it is. BUT...dont expect me to be a great gardener, horticulturist extradonaire....we are all so talented in our own right and we should celebrate our unique contribition in light of that talent and not of other perceived failings. Lets make this the year of our own magnifiicence and not diminish our light by comparisons with others.

Just spent the last half our catching up. What a lot has happened in the last 36 hours

We are off to Wildlife photographer of the year exhibition at the useum, then off to have a talk with MrRags' dads' doctors. Hmm are those apostrophes in the right place? Beter ask Mr G.

Now listen here all you undie pundies who feel that they not measuring/making the grand..whatever. Ten years age when I was just a child (lo).. I was asked to participate in a Myers/Brigs study for evaluating I.Q, (iNTELLIGENT quoitent).m It came about because of my results academically that I consequently didnt follow through with to further education. Anyhoo, after intensive two week trials of exams, I came through with a score of 145. The Average I.Q. is between 90-125. Accordining to these tests, I an at genius level. Fusk...I could blow up the world and claim it is my own genius as in Oppenheimer(the inventer on the nucleur bomb).

The point I want to get across today, is that my mind and intent is not inventing ways to harm folk. The I.Q. and emotional intelligence and completley different entities. I want my life to construct a framework of developing ways for disadvandged people to acesss and therefore benefit from improved resources, better housing, better education etc. If people of so -called higher intellect puit their energies into whats on the ground and house/educate...provide better health care...it would be revolutionary...stop spending money on armnaments and militrary and use our amazing brains to stop the poverty. All I do atm is to sponser a child through UNICEF...lets start somewhere to create a more just society. P.S. I have this thought all the time, that we are alcoholic because we cannot bear to look at the ills of the world...

This is why I haven’t been up to date with the Undies....
On Tuesday we hopped on a ferry and went across to Taronga Park to do the walk to Bradleys Head and Chowder Bay.



How lucky we are that we have this magnificent harbour fringed with this beautiful section of remnant bushland. Well, parts of it are fringed , that is, thanks to the British fear of invasion from the French, Russians and anyone else they thought may invade our fair an sunny shores....

This is about 300 metres into the walk... magnificent angophoras lining the pathway,




And this is the view from the same spot....




A bit further on, we round a corner to see Bradleys Head, with the mast of HMAS Sydney. Now, this next bit will be of interest to Reggie, and those interested in a little history.
Reggie, have a look at the post sticking up out of the water........


It’s a sandstone Doric column from the originalSydney GPO. And why is it there you may ask.........
OK, take a look at this piccy. Now, can you see the Martello tower of Fort Denison. OK got it in yer sights?




The distance between the column and the centre of the Martello tower at Fort Denison is exactly one nautical mile (6080 feet for those of inquisitive nature)
Now for a little history lesson. The sign needs to be replaced, and I’m not good enough at photoshop to fix it .

Buggered if I know what my IQ is. As I am completely hopeless at maths, and working out puzzles, and solving the what is the next number in the sequence puzzles, I used to skip those parts of the test... which is probably 70 percent of it! Funny though, I ended up as a budgets officer for the CofA manipulating (on paper) zillions of dollars.

Anyhow, yes I agree, and oft times daydream about how much more money we'd have if we cut right back on space programmes, manufacturing and selling arms (though it costs bugger all to manufacture the stuff we sell to unsettled nations), and had no need of armies. And my daydream further extends to how wonderful it would be if there were no drug lords, mafia or triad type organisations, no child slavery or child prostitution, no mindless slaughter/torture of animals to make useless "drugs" for primarily asian trade, and , and, and, I think you get my drift......

At Badleys is a little amphitheatre (ideal for watching NYE fireworks but you have to buy a ticket) which was an old gun emplacement....

Further along the track we started seeing

And as we neared Chowder Bay we came upon this lovely little bay... Nice place to drop the pick eh Reggie..... And... you can see the place Tawn got for you from here(but it isn’t in the pic)



Got to Chowder Bay only to find that the 288 bus doesn’t bloody run any more!!! Bugger, a long steep hill trek to Bradleys Head roa to pick up a bus to take us back to Sydney, where Mr Rags shouted me to dinner at theSpice Temple. We were both disappointed.

OOPS SORRY.... All this happened on MONDAY!!!!
Losing sense of time when on hols!

Next series of piccies will be from yesty. It will take a while for me to do his as I have to go now and look at piccies then off to the hospital.

Bridgey, if you can get yourself in to Sydney see if you can go to Wildlife photographer exhibiion at the museum in College St. And definitely go to the MCA. You have to go in the George st entrance and its onthe 3rd floor. Hopefully I'll get pics up tonight. I'mgoing to go again if I can. It's just a bit diff and time consuming with this little laptop with a crappy keyboard .
