I once spent a year of my life living in the x.......I loved it but was young and naive. A miracle I didn't get into some real trouble.

Well I am still bloody sick and I hate the downtime. Have a few social functions to attend today but I really want to spend the day in bed with a good book. With the racket coming from my kids this morning it is probably easier to just take them out of the house.

Love your pictures Rags...................so much that I am trying to secretly plan a trip overthere for NYE with the kids.

We then hopped a ferry to Cockatoo Island but only had about an hour to spend looking around, so we’ll go back again some time. Not the best weather to sit and take in the view, but you get the idea.



This tunnel goes the length/width of the island, and doubled as an air raid shelter in WW11



At the moment it is an art installation

Come on over for NYE. It's a crowded but fun time. And now the festival of Sydney has just started. HUGE crowds last night in Hyde Park and Domain. Lots of streets closed off.

Yep pea flower= chori Common name I think, can be yellow as well as the lovely orange and pink which I have at home. Still Fabaceae fam I think, Must Google.

Orchid I will Google now....rooolly bad with orchids. You tend to get those orchid obsessives and everybody else just goes to the show and says 'noice'.

Expecting visitors of the good kind in that

•they rang yesterday to check. Tick
•they're coming after lunch. Tick
•they're radical Lefties so a most enjoyable convo will take place. Tick
•they'll have a DD, so when I wave them toodeloo I won't have to worry about the amount of grog they'll guzzle over the next 4 hours. Not.my.problem. Tick
•they didn't book in for an overnighter. Tick
•they won't come back for another year. Tick.

hiya kids,
Been shopping this weekend for baby stuff. Gosh darn are they expensive and we don't even have one yet. Anyways, bought the glider chair for feeding and...bidding on stuff on ebay. I think we will do everything 2nd hand. I just don't see how people afford it up front. Also used Chrissy gift card today for some Eco friendly kitchen stuff. We picked out a color and hubs is painting babys room. All is lovely here.
