    Underoos and Mates 2012 January....

    Techie,
    that is so lovely.

    Thankyou.

The festival of sinny is on at the moment so I may get some piccies of things about town. Last Sat they had several streets closed, but Mr Rags and I seemed to always in the wrong place at the wrong time for events, so we hopped a bus back to Glebe and crashed.

          Techie,

If I had the time and money, I'd nip over to your place to say g'day in Feb. But I don't.

It looks lovely. A different landscape.

Technie........love the cactus picture. Middle son used to be seriously obsessed with cacti so now we have quite a collection. We used to have to drive around to find houses that had lots of cacti and just park outside them........the owners probably thought we were thieves. Sydney has a beautiful cactus garden with examples from all over the world.

I sold my mower when I moved. Crushed rock replaces grass here. OMG, I remember mowing two acres. Yup, there are western diamond backs around. I haven't experienced any thus far. There is a gopher snake that looks exactly like the rattler. I've had a few of those but only when the golf course next door has landscape work done. Luckily I have not seen one flat head tail. One has to count there blessings !

They are lovely things. We have a species here called jumping cholla. It's a nasty thing that has met my leg on several desert bike rides!

                        Ahhhh, thankyou.
I looked at a Canon SX40 which is the next couple of generations newer than my SX10, and Canaon have done A Steve Jobs and it only accepts a dedicated battery which for me defeats the whole purpose of having it.
OK, I'll see if I can one at Paxtons in Sydney.
OK Off back to Glebe. Catch you in a few hours.

Yep, that's it. Dunno why they call it the 'original'.....never knew any other. I declare here and now. I would be delighted if you and Mr. R would join me at the Balkan sometime? I say, on reflection, also the Jones girl and Grinder.

Thanks for the pics. They are much appreciated and enjoyed. Thanks to you too Techie and Frog. All the pics are of a quality unseen in common hours.

Tawny your picture is brilliant. Just like a food magazine. Is a flathead a fish?

The red chopstick make a great focal point. What's the dip?

I've just had breakfast and now I want fish. sigh. no wonder I have a weight problem

                                Morning all undies.

I'm back and feeling a lot better than I was last week and over the weekend. It's too hard and complicated to go into what my melt-down was about except to say the Mr B's ex is an evil and manipulative cow. That being said, she probably isn't going to change so I need to find some way of dealing with the things that she does that dont involve me having a melt-down (and drinking for several days in a row). Mr B and I need to talk about it as well - he doesn't deal at all well with conflict and reacts by shutting down and going into "passive" mode, and then I get really frustrated with him as well.

Anyway, today is a new day, and I am going to liberate myself once more from the evil drink!

Sunny - hope the scan went well!

Techie - those cacti are just great!!

Rags - I got caught out by the canon battery too! I've really liked the canon's in the past, and when my old camera died I just bought the more up-to-date one, I just went for the newer model. Its a real bugger - I got caught out at Xmas when I forgot to re-charge the battery just before going on holiday to a place with no electricity!

:wavin: to everyone else - and thanks for thinking of me ........ it helped!
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
