Well I'm going to take up the challenge Rags, in line with one of my loose New Years goals...............

This first one will mean little to the non planties....but I had a little experiement with growing things 'upside down' in hanging baskets a couple of months ago.
Results as follow:
1. Tomatoes: dismal failure....but in own defence...poor growing season. Revert to trad method.
2. Sweet peas: some blooms, but not a fabo scent or a high number of flowers. Revert to trad method.
3. Strawberries: Screaming success. The best strawbs I have tasted since I lived in the UK. Like a lolly:h

Conclusion: I will let the runners establish into the other 2 pots and this is absolutely the way I will growing my strawbs in future

No good reason, just to amuse the Frog.
Also you will note that the boy has been feeding her Burger Rings today. As we know the general health of the average chicken with attitude can be vastly improved with the administration of Burger Rings.

Sorry to interrupt, but I've just switchred on to SBS and some vet just removed 14 kilograms of plastic bags from a cow in India.... he's now on his way to go good deeds elsewhere in India.

Its very distressing actually.

He's with dogs with distemper and other injuries. Hope he puts them down.

His shirt says World Wide Vet Service.
Now that would be something for Beagsy.

Beagsy, you're ahead of us remember, so it should be on SBS at 7:30 for you. You may find it interesting.... he's working in dreadful conditions in India. Don't know the show is calledwhat its called as I dont have a program and just chanced upon it.


SBS just announced you can watch it via computer on sbs slash on demand or something like that.
Found it. And the program is Luke Gamble's Vet adventures, but I couldn't find it. Maybe they haven't put it up yet.

Evening all,

Well, after Missy and Bridgee's posts this morning I spent the day formulating a suitable reply post in my head. But ... as the day progressed I thought buggerit. Although I'm prolly closer to attaining oldfartage than any other Undie, I really have no sage words of wisdom to impart, other than don't be half-arsed. About anything.

Beags - gorgeous kitty. I've got a matching one whose mum was a feral.

Bridge - I also failed in the upside-down tomato stakes. Athena's looking great! So glad you're doing the photo thing - it's such a good diary. Tomorrow marks the 12month anniversary of when I got a bit wet. It'll be good to take a comparative shot.

I'm a bit sorry I've logged on tonight to read about the cow. I hate shit like that hanging around in my head.

Was going to squeal and do my reveal of the day - a new experiment - Croatian Blackberry Pie - but I feel a bit deflated. So, for anyone who gives a stuff - here it is..
