Here’s where Mr Rags took me to dinner last night. It’s in what was the old dirty industrial working part of the harbour. View from our table across to a couple of trawlers and the fish markets. There’s a couple of yachts there and one of them is the one Mr Rags and I had sailing lessons .
After a dozen asstd Sydney rocks from the Hastings, Manning and Nambucca Rivers, we had yummo entrees. Mr Rags had tartare of Ulladulla tuna with seared squid with very fine shaved celeriac and soy and ponzu dressing. I had Hervey Bay scallops with pancetta on a creamed corn base.
Mains was a fish pie, which in my excitement I forgot to photograph.... wheeled up on a trolley and ceremoniously dished out.
If you lookpast the guy in centre of shot you’ll see the old wheat silos which currently have huge pictures of the Bonds 12 days of Christmas ad.
And this couple spent their whole(expensive) dinner with their heads buried in their phones. I think they said about 3 sentences to each other in an hour.
