    So where did Bridgey disappear to? Did she go away for the weekend.

    Wish we could use tyres for this retaining wall. But it basically holds the whole block up and is 8ft high. It is only 14 years old. I spent over a hour on hold with the insurers and my phone ran out of charge before I got to speak to anyone.

    Looks like the little one is nearly ready to show his stump to the world. And I must prepare myself for the endless questions from strangers. Maybe we should practice some outrageous stories.

    Can't wait to be hangover free tomorrow.

      Oh MrG, MrG, MrG ... you're bringing a tear to my eye. I actually became very good friends with Ron01's wife - a lovely woman originally from Wangaratta - who's supported Ron's career for years. They've got twins, girls, one of whom has shown great talent at darts. They both felt she was good enough to enter the Junior Darts Championships in the UK and Ron01 worked his arse off to raise enough funds to let her fulfill her dreams.

      Yes, so sometimes he didn't actually deliver the ordered blinds ... but his heart's always been in the right place. He sold your blinds over and over an over again but that's ok when you want the best for your kid. Surely we can understand that? Oh, by the way, the other twin's a total dud and a great source of concern for Janelle01.

      I'm so glad you've formed a strong friendship with Ron01 ... Janelle01 and I regularly exchange emails with inspirational thoughts and pomes to pass on to 50 friends. So beautiful. :l :h :l :h :l :h

      That's my attempt at silly-buggers. Apart from Rag's disgusting dog story ... I've just been listening to someone nearby fire off about 20 rounds of what sounded like a .22 rifle. The only thing they could be wanting to shoot are roos. The same roos that honour me with their presence on a nightly basis. Bastards.

      Saucy - I'll give you my thoughts on tyre gardening when I've calmed down a tad.

          Yikes I can't sleep. Not sure if its a worry thing about Jones, the wrenching emotional posts re: Ron01, or the quad Venti latte from Starbucks at 10PM. Anyway, I'll give Ron Chernow's Washington A Life a few chapters and see if that does the trick !
          Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

                    OMG, people who go shooting beautiful Innocent animals make me angry too! I think I should get to hunt them. Now I wouldn't actually hurt them, but a bullet just might graze their skin. And I wouldn't stop at just a few rounds. I would do it for hours, just so they could get a feel for the other side of the coin.

                    Ella, when it rains it pours sometimes. I hope it all works out and insurance comes through.

                        I too would like to catch those people who abuse animals. Kids can be crazy, and no, no excuse, except for maybe their brains are still developing, and no guidance. But i reckon we all have an inbuilt sense of 'right and wrong' don't we? Adults have absolutely no excuse.

                          Morning all,

                          there is quite a well established link between kids who are cruel to animals and having been abused, neglected or subject to harsh physical punishment. Doesn't stop me wanting to tear a strip off the little buggers though.

                          Ella - hope things are looking up a little for you this morning. I also had a thought - if the retaining wall is only 14 years old, do you have some sort of claim against the people that built it??

                            A very interesting weekend's ..... erm......reading....was had, speaking of which I see I have 6 pages worth to get to here....

                            I really missed my dog! Speaking of which Rags, that hideous photo and story is doing the rounds on Faceache at the moment. Very disturbing and sickening indeed.

                            I notice the fuck thread is back 'out there'. Was only thinking about that the other day.

                                Morning all. Lots of downpour here.
                                Off to work this morning. I might even put in some walking on the treadmill at the gym today. I have not been there to much since being pregnant. I'm also going to see the Descendants tonight with some girl friends. I'm pretty exhausted from yesterday, but it's rare time some of us girls go out so. we might even have some Max Brenners after.
