I loved doing the spuds in straw/soil and bandicooting just enough little baby spuds for that night's din-dins.

Have just had a pretty neat lunch. Finally found a recipe for flatbread that works just fine. Curried prawns - very tedious roasting/grinding/frying of spices etc. but for some reason I crave curries in summer. Only ate one of the breads, the other will do, dragged through some hommus, for tea .

OMG that looks wonderful. I would've loved a plate of that....Mmmm!

I have a question about the veggie growing delio. Do yous guys have land you can grow stuff in? Or is it at a premium and that's why you use the alternatives?

At home we have acres. Here I can't grow nowt for fear of reprisal. Can't even hang the washing out... have to use a tumble dryer. Its all so crappy when you think about it. They need to put wellies on and go and frolick in a bog in Scotland and then come back with their high ideals!

Anyhoo... was wondering. Cos I thought you all mostly live in areas where there's room to grow stuff.

What about growing micro veggies? Too easy, Just need a couple of planter boxes, or a couple of polystyrene boxes from the greengrocer. Let them grow to about an inch high then cut them off. Really makes a salad look pretty scmick. And a little pot plant of violas.
I'm going to do some again whenI get back from skiing.
