About 33C here today but got a heap done this morning while it was still civilised. Took me ages to get all the glass out of the window, new stuff ordered and I'm looking forward to glazing which is a jobbie I thoroughly enjoy.

Best spend some time on the Chook Forum - Missy has laid a blood-stained egg two days in a row and Bridget has not produced a single viable googy this year. All are incredibly thin-shelled and trashed. I don't know if they break while she lays them or whether they peck them because they know they're crappy and not in the FIL sense of the word. I need to install CCTV in the Chookhouse Penthouse. I think Missy might take one look at Bridge's egg and tell her "We don't serve that kind of stuff here". PECK!

re the cctv, i have a mate who put a lipstick av camera in hid bearded dragons enclosure to catch the one who was digging up the eggs it worked a treat.

Have you given us some shell grit lately?

I desperately want one of those lipstick cameras to spy on folk... I don't even know who yet....I just want one.

Just checking in......life has been busy at the moment but all good and I am still sober. Brain is muddled. Glad your kangaroos are back tawny........is that hypocritical considering I had kanagaroo for dinner last night. See how can I like looking at animals while still eating them.

Reg, I had a good weekend with extended family, and mother. Mom looks good, and is happy. Each evening she was more than ready to go back to her cozy, ass'td living room, but she shines, too, like your mother. I don't think her demise is too far down the road. Older sis and I went through her jewlery, and with permission took what we wanted. I cried all the way home.

Nothing like chicken Juja. It has a strong gamey flavour, I think anyway. It is also a very lean protein and is very good for you.

Bit of a quiet thread the last couple of days. Strongly suspect that there is some mischeif going on.
Back to the garden for some pottering today, in between delivering the boy to various social engagements. Wouldn't it be nice?

Ella, the time difference has always been a bit of a bugger for our WA folk. By the time you get the kiddies in bed and wrap it up, the Eastern staters have all dispersed. We must get Julia to address this when she's fixed gambling.

Hi JUJU,
It tastes a bit gamey. No fat on it. You need to cook it similarly to venison otherwise like venison, it will go tough and rubbery. I guess venison is the nearest taste comparison I could put on it.

I'm here, I'm here and nary a skerrick of mischief in sight. Another hot one but prolly not nearly as bad as in the west. Keep cool, girls.

Nothing special planned for Oz Day this year - used to do HUGE productions involving 30+ people but I'm over large-scale entertaining. Heard on the ABC this morning that Australia Day produces the largest number of booze-related incidents of the entire year for the under 25's.
