Naughty girl Bridge.....

I have to tell you how my night went. Just as we left the house a thunder storm rolled in but it didn't deter us we still got on the train. We ended up huddled under a picnic blanket while it just poured down with rain only the way it can in this country. But it was amazing to see the fireworks with the lightning in the background, really amazing and the thing childhood memories are made of. Except for the toddler who hated them. And we all came home looking like drowned rats. But it was fun.

How funny Bridgey...Reg you are in trouble for bypassing a Sunny and me visit - and yes there are sharks amongst the shit, could've taken you to a place where the locals feed 'em, bullsharks btw, Ella hate to burst the bubble on the memory thing, but have asked my locusts lots of times about various events I would've thought to be memorable and drew a "Nah dont remember". Secret is that YOU remember...you're a good mum.

Well hows this one? eldest locust met friends yesterday at a park and they had a "gathering"...some kids from another school showed up and there was rum involved....aargh, my unfavourite stinky drink....and he bypassed the ciggies and the rum and was telling me about it in the car on the way home...said he didnt bother coz he didnt like the smell but would probably drink wine some day....aaargh....I guess I'm lucky he tells me stuff, two out of thee aint bad. The middle one doesnt tell ANYTHING...

Off to get some zen in my life ie chookies, feed dogs and cats etc. Am dropping them at the station this morning too...letting them loose in a world of rum peddlars and ciggie smokers...

And yes seriously Ella the creek came up to about half a metre below the floorboards so the bottom level in those piccies I posted went under, we have a pink line on the concrete post on the front of the house. So yep, built on a flood plain...and the rains just coming in again....maybe should have done chookage first today....off to get wet then!

Am a bit like Tawny though, I am loving this place...

Morning everyone.
Sorry about my infrequencies, I lurk & read & giggle about Bridge getting stoned & worry about the flooding in Brizzy & worry about the extreme heat here & hope like hell no bastard decides to get pyromaniacal.

I'd like to tell you that things have changed, & how wonderfully well I'm doing, & how many AF days I have, but I would be lying. I think that the saying that Bridgee had along the lines of doing the same things thus getting the same things really has relevance here.

In 2 days we'll be orf to our little hobby farm for a bit, & then I have some more horse-riding comps to do, so yes I'll be sporadic for a while.

I miss you all, give you all heartfelt hugs, & no doubt there'll be a spate of me again.

Beags - good to see you. I've been wondering ... you seem to really enjoy going to your hobby farm. Might that be a place to go when you're having a rough time? Can you go there on your own and just 'be' while you re-charge?

Hot again here but I've got the glass in the window now waiting for the putty to dry. It's been fun. Borrowed this fabbo tool gun thing to fire the glazing points into the cedar. Oh, the power. It's gone right to my head. Then a paint job, then re-assemble hoping like all fusk I can get the sash chords back in properly.

Grass is dying off rapidly and I think I've lost my beautiful Forest Pansy tree. I've had it in for about five years and it had been doing so well. Very sad about that but I guess that's the way of things. If it can't survive without being watered, it's not meant to be here.

Arvo Undies, feeling spewy too, had my hair done coz I have a hot date on Monday - joking, just hiding grey - and then to the old house for a spack of cleaning....then after a wee while realised the flea man had been early and bombed the house....so now I am laid up on the back deck checking out the chooks, who have been free ranging since last weekend, well I lock em up at night - and watching the rain.
