Morning Undies and those of us who dont bother to wear said garments!

Who would have thought keeping chooks would be this challenging, just had to get 3 of the escape team out from under the house. Wouldnt mind but if they went the right way - and they would - it could lead them out into the front yard and the street. Tawny and Hermione lead by Ginger the neked chook....or wait shouldnt that be the other way around??

So ... have I kept you in suspenders long enough???

Well, it went like this...

Stinking hot and the wet sarong trick only works for so long so I give it the flick and just sit on it. I've got the front and back doors wide open hoping to catch even the tiniest breeze and I'm deeply involved in an on-line game. It's a pleasant, quiet Saturday. Suddenly I catch something out the corner of my eye and there in the doorway is an apparition of the male variety. All would have been ok if I hadn't done that ridiculous girly startled squeal thing and jumped out of my chair. I can't believe I didn't hear anyone arriving. Normally I can hear cars pull up or car doors slam but I didn't hear a thing and no bloody wonder. The dude is on a push bike.

I compose myself and tie the garment appropriately and start walking him toward the shade of the fernery. I ask him WTF is he doing riding a bike in 36 degree heat, knowing he's ridden 10km. He says he wants to lose some weight. I suggest he should have worn a garbag but that went straight through to the keeper. He asks if I have any white paint, he only needs a tiny bit, which I don't. I give him a ginger beer, we chat for a bit and he cycles off into the dust.

Now I don't know if the poor young fella's traumatised, nor do I care very much. What's really pissing me off is ... I have no idea how I can guard against random stealth cyclists.

Pop down to old Dick Smiths and buy a motion sensor with alarm for the boundary. The roos will have a ball with it too.

Now. Look above your head in the living room and kitchen. There you will find the CCTV that I planted there last year. I'm tired of coveting your food, so take them down and reinstall them for external surveillance. I will give you the password for the online link up. It's N_E_K_K_I_D ........

You all are great, and I just reached out in a moment of grief as Mr B just drove off to his son's ceremony for entry into his boarding school. I am so lucky to have all you wonderful people who responded so immediately. I'm fine other than the grief.

I want to do a good long vent, but it will take some time to compose. In the mean time carry on without me.
