    Morning yous twos.

    Cannot whack getting up any day of the year without a hangover, but New Year's Day has gotta be the best of the bunch.

      Hangover free today feels awesome.....

      Was pressured to drink again last night but stuck to my guns

      when do people finally accept you don't drink and its not a crazy fad....
      I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

      They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

        Absolutely!

        This year tho, I have to admit, I did have a few "longing" moments, no point in saying I didn't because I did. Don't know why it hit now when it didn't last year.....out of the blue really because I rarely think about booze, Christmas Eve when everything was done and everyone was waffling on Facebook about how they were sitting down with a glass of wine brought on a pang or two of "missing out".
        Now there is nothing in the world that would make me drink or give in to that feeling, I just didn't like having it. The next day I was back to my normal, grateful, self righteous self lol.

        Just wanted to get that off my chest.

            I wasn't feeling so much that I'd missed out it was a sort of I wish I could just have a nice glass of red with me Christmas dinner. I wish there was some kind of adult drink that would do the job. Sick and tired of fizzy shite.

                    Now I like elderflower and have a few big trees in my garden, so pray tell about the presse.

                        Afternoon and heres to a gr8 2012. Slept till noon 2day which is unsual for me but i'm still bunged up wit this cold so maybe its body clock telling me something or else i'm healing lol. Good to see everybody being so positive let's keep it up. Oney i felt that way over xmas and last nite as most were toasting the new wit a bottle of bubbly and xmas eve the same oh everything done time for a nice glass of wine, this was on fb too. I did cave in over xmas but thats the past. Last night was was the first NYES that i didn't for more years than i care to remember lol. Off to get another coffee i'll check back later.:wavin::cupajoe:

                            Back from me walk now, it was good to be out in the dry for a change and we didn't have to hose the dog down when we got back so he was thankful for that

                            I made elderflower cordial last year and it was lovely. It was easy to make and delicious diluted with soda water, with lots of ice. It's quite a delicate flavour but we really enjoyed it and I'll be making more this year. It's mainly elderflowers and sugar and you have to pick the flowers when they're fresh and creamy coloured. I'll dig out the recipe if anyone interested.
