I am here...sorry so late. Had four teenagers in the house last night and I could NOT sleep.....so lazed around this morning and now I am at work.

It is just that it is hard to continue to be supportive of a man who is not only NOT very supportive of me, but will take the opportunity to make my problems more about him than ME. Ex- If I am sick, it is more about how it will affect HIM. My drinking problem has been more of a concern and something that he has used to get pity for himself instead of worrying about what it is doing to ME. And this latest thing with the Christmas gifts my parents sent over, it's like he saw that it made me feel a lil better so he had to say something negative instead of something like... Well maybe this is a step in the right direction and that my family maybe is starting to think about their past behavior... Nope, when I asked why he had to say something mean instead of saying something like... I am still upset-with how upset they have made YOU and I'm not sure that I am ready to forgive them..... He turns around and says how offended that HE was because MY father didn't bring the gifts to HIM. All words about himself and more things that he can add to his "it's all about me" the human sponge that goes around sponging up all things and flipping them to make them about himself. G

He's loves the attention that he gets so much when people feel badly for him that he has to monopolize other people's (mine) problems and make it all about him. It's like my wife lost her arms and legs, now who is going to cook for me and rub my back and clean my house. Lol. An exaggeration but I think you see my meaning .

More people know about my drinking problem and that is because my husband will seek pity from anyone who will listen. Which is an issue that I will be discussing in my new treatment therapy next week. Most people try to make their spouse sound better than they really are to most people, not my husband he will embellish the other way just to get more pity.
