Happy New Year everyone Yes its me I am back now have a real job and will stay in touch with all of my best support friends ever. my quest for the year is to stop drinking and get through the murder trial of our son. As it stands now pretrial motions must be in by Feb. 3. Arguments will be heard Feb 16 and the new trial will start Feb. 27 the day after my 54 Birthday happy *#%!#&G Birthday to me. My father is doing as well as posible we find out this coming week if he is going to make it or stop treatment.

Mishy, I am sorry I wasn't here for you and Swannie, but ditto what everyone else here said. You both are loved by all of us
I guess I need to work on my grouchy side, as well. Actually, we just got in from the doctor for Clay...and I asked her about my general brain fog ans crappy memory....she told me to go have my hormone levels checked. She said she got so forgetful when she was going through menopause (with no symptoms, like me) that she actually forgot her underwear one day!!!! Three weeks later on Hormone Replacement and she was her old self...sharp as a tack....so I think I will heed her advice.
I never know what kind of mood Mom will be in. She was bossy and shrieking and started on me...calling me a Drama Queen very nastily, and I told her not to even start with me and that her words sounded lke to pot calling the kettle black, and then went to my room for the evening. Bret was livid and I had to keep him calm.....so needless to say it was not a great weekend. We DID do the Polar Bear plunge....I will post pictures later. Mom, as usual, acted like everything was fine this morning, so I let it go. She was so mean to Dad that I saw red....I just don;t understand it, but it is what it is.
Glad everyone is pretty much ok...Mimzey I am sorry you are feeling poorly and that Hubs got drunk. I think that is first for as long as I have known you.
OK...off to Netflix and to take care of my miserable son
oh, and the water was 40 degrees this morning.....I did not go underwater like all the rest of my crazy family!!!!!I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Sorry too, MB. She may be getting a little age on her and something COULD be wrong. When has she had a checkup? Sorry to about the sick cub. Sometimes with family we just have to grin and bear it. Listen to me, after my hissy-fit last week! :h
Thanks, Sun, I'm feeling better. Hubs has been sheepish today, getting the cold shoulder from me. He worked outside all day yesterday, cleaning gutters, clearing out, and had beer in his shop fridge. Guess he over-served himself without thinking about it, but it IS rare. And he put up with a long of my binges, so I'll let him off tomorrow. We may leave in the morning, but I have to pick up my meds on Tuesday, and have an important appointment with my dental surgeon on Thursday, so we're pushing it.
Their highnesses will be back later this week. They packed up the car with their dog and went to the lake. I'll be good, but they're NOT moving into one of my houses, and that's all we have empty right now. There's a lot more behind all this than I'll say, and Hubs knows it. I hate to put him in a difficult situation, and I won't argue with them. I apologized when I called, so that's all they're getting from me. All I'd be missing is having to go to their house to eat occasionally.sigpic
