I was gone most of the day but came back on and read back through. I guess I had the plan thing misunderstood because now, I GET IT!!! When I feel like I want a drink or the time comes when I would drink, do something else in place of it. Exercise for me!!! Or hold a child or two or three and tell them how much I love them. My mom and sister offered their support as well, PLUS this amazing site and the wonderful people offering so much insight and help. Well, now I know I'm not alone and I know I can do this!! We ALL can do this!!

well I fell by the wayside last night and had some beer, what was that about ?I don't like beer, it was all the al left in the house after Christmas, so the rest is going on the skip today.It is so windy here it sounds quite frightening, anyway going back to bed for an hour or so now, have to get up around 4 every morning with pain in my hip,Ruby, Freddy is fine ,growing up and heavily into punk and anarchy at the moment!! love and hugs to you all Twitch xxx

Just a quick drop in as my nervous system is shot and I just want to lie down, rest and read. Just turning on the computer took me over an hour to psych myself up and make the effort. My brain is full of cotton wool and I'm feeling terribly fragile emotionally, but I'm not drinking.

She's turned herself around in the past and she can do it again. I think she's just acting out over all she's been through over the past year and she knows she can't do it here.
Anyway, I might crawl into a hole for a while, but that's better than crawling into a bottle, right? And knowing you're thinking of me helps very, very much.

Mishy, poor baby. Your heart and soul are just sore and tired right now. I wish I could help with more than words, and I think you really got it right about her acting out. She's hurt and angry too, and probably, for a little while, it may be better for her to get her head together a bit more before you two are living together again. Just a thought, hon, and like I said, it's obvious you know what's right for you both. :hug:
Mtn, Okey, Fly, so great to see you here! Yes, Mtn, when I first came here I was completely lost for a while. Until T started this thread, and all these wonderful people came here, I never felt understood, but frequently MIS-understood. So great you have family support.
Fen, it is nice to have heat and hot water, isn't it? Another reason I want a generator at the cabin. I don't care how long I'm snowed in there if I have some creature comforts. If I slid off into the stream, there would be about a 10' fall in, then might drown or be washed down the rapids!! I have no desire to take the polar bear plunge in a mountain stream!!
Twitch, get back on that horse, sugar! Glad you didn't have any more AL in the house. I've been known to drink some pretty off-the-wall stuff in the past too. Don't like wine, but I could kill a bottle and then suffer for days. Had to laugh at your description of Freddy now! Typical kid, huh?
ATL, you've got to quit obsessing about your weight, love, and focus on health. My Momma, God love her, made me terribly self-conscious because I had a round tush. Skinny as a rail in high school, but in a fitted skirt she always made comments. Daughter has the same butt, but it's never been a handicap for her! :H Just saw a Special K commercial where they say 'When will we quit focusing on what we want to lose, and focus on what we want to gain?' It's a great way to look at getting healthy.

Morning! Slept pretty good last night. Littlest one was up at 10:30 and didn't get back to sleep til midnight. She had 5 teeth come in two weeks' time and I think she's getting hit again. I was afraid she would wake up the other 2, but they were conked out. We had a big day yesterday. Anyway, up and getting ready for a hard cardio workout at the gym. Ruby, you're so great. Good Morning everyone! Gosh - you lot were chatty last night - and there was me at work! Mish - so sorry about you wanting to crawl into a hole but I know that feeling! There isn't much I can say - just know that we are all thinking of you and sending loving thoughts your way... Bird - you too - but as I said - it really does pass and one day they will be grown up!
Mtn - gosh - 5 teeth in two weeks! poor soul - teeth seem to be the bane of our lives - they cause trouble all the time !! Don't they Rubes?? I have a sore gum this morning and had the same thing on a different tooth last week! Glad that she didn't wake up the other two.
Fen - good to chat last night - I think I would have quite freaked with my car sliding backwards towards a creek! Hope you feel more rested today!
Twitch - glad to hear you are ditching the rest of the beer today. Today is my last day and I plan on having two Kahlua and Milk later today - don't have any Guinness (my drink of choice) and then that is it! We still have AL in the house but it is nothing I would drink. I feel good to go with my decision though - you going to join me?
