Wrangling with a husband, after picking up a sick g'daughter this morning, having the rest of them all afternoon, and Hubs being himself. Found out today Jack has a 'mild' case of pneumonia. WTF!!!! How is any pneumonia mild. Will be going there this weekend, with or without my other half.
Played with Ninny and the cats for a while, dinner roasting, treated the grands, fed JC and Tay, treated TMB, and carted Tink around most of the day in her sling bag, keeping her warm and above the fray. Now I'm bushed. But every need you all have is in my head, and though I can't touch you I'll hold you, send you the best I can through these wave. Swan, so sorry I missed your post. I'm here, always, for you. I've told you, you're not alone, we are here. Just come here and pour out your heart instead of doing something you'll regret later. And when you post, you'll be bombarded with the love and care we all have for you.
Fen, nothing touches my animals. TMB makes sure of that. And this guy needs a home. Had a long talk with the shelter guy, and he's been tested, vetted, will be neutered, shots up to date, and only cost me $30 to bring him home and away from a certain death. One of the reasons I like to bring in a young dog when my great old dogs are with me, is for them to learn their place, and learn I am the leader, learn manners and obediance. No one needs a big dog they can't control with their voice. And I've been in situations where if TMB decided to ignore me, someone could have been in trouble. But she listened, waited. I know a lot about this breed, and hate to see the ones discarded because someone had a testosterone fit and thought they could handle one. He will work out great, or to his great regret!! I drove 100 miles, picked up a #160 male I'd never seen, drove him home, and he was the gentlest soul I ever met. Give everyone, everything, a chance, but set your boundaries.

:lSwannie, geez....Rubes, your schedule would drive me mad....tomorrow taking kids to Perry for all state band audition. Now she is practicing like crazy and blaming me for not knowing how it goes. Well she has had the music for months, so I am hiding out in my room with earplugs in...might be back if she doesnt stop playing..

Rubes - yes, I totally agree with you on what you said about suicide - and no, it doesn't appear that she IS getting help - the ER LET HER GO!!!!! I was gobsmacked! the decided that she wasn't a danger to herself - despite the fact that she had decided to do it this coming Tuesday initially!! her parents are trying to get her committed but they will need a court order as she is over 21. They don't hold out much hope either. "perverse form of moral manipulation" is it exactly !! My daughter is wiped out - understandably. Just doesn't understand the whole thing - the friend is now not speaking to her. (the one that went missing).
Bird - I have this wonderful vision of you with ear plugs in, in your room and this noise coming from outside the room, as it drifts into your room ------ oh dear - I so don't envy you your teen children!!

Been thinking of names, MB. It's a time race right now, as he's been there longer than usual. It's a big shelter, in a big county, and I can't put a hold on him, but I've ben promised by Richard he won't be put down till after Monday (they're closed Sunday and Monday). So, Hubs goes back to work Tuesday, I'll pick our Richard IV on Tuesday and pay his fees, and he's mine by Wednesday. Maybe I should call him DickH?? Any thoughts? This was certainly not on my agenda, since I'm dizzy from just half my day, but how can I deny him? Showed his pics, in his cage, to my girls today and all I got was 'Awwwwh'. He will learn his place, quickly, with TMB as his sage. She perks up, is alert, when the cats go wild, when Ninny acts up, but NEVER shows aggression unless I give her the word. Enjoy your time with your boys, and it's such a great thing Brett can work on this development.
Bird, yeah, they THINK they can blame us for every one of their mistakes!!! I remember that with mine. It's a teen thing. How could I have been responsible for a failure in a subject, when as an adult, I was at work when the test was administrated?? Sounds like a good wake up call for someone!! :hug:

hey there folks well had a great day and well its not over yet will have to work tomorrow and sunday go check out another side job .. so ill take work when it comes in and right now ... and weekend are all i can get if the shop slows down then ill try and finger out what ever i need to do .. well enough about me ... always sending big hugs and prayers to one and all stay strongshifting forward and thinking positive
