          Leaving tomorrow AM, HURRAY, so many chores yet to do. Always need a day during the winter to get inside temp up to scratch, use a blow torch to clear the spider web accumulations, stock new eggs, at least, check for animals that may have made their way in (some of you don't know about the time I went in and found things scattered around and fur on my pillows from a reverse Goldilocks and the 3 Bears scenario), make sure things are working and toilets are clear (unless it's Bird and i don't worry then), look for fossilized dog poo (Tink doesn't always use her pads) and let the dogs check out everything. Sun, you mind sharing a room with Ninny? I worried about leaving her. Kell, you sure you can drive a bit and let me pick you up?
          Also, please know, I get far more from your visits than you ever could. Yes, it takes a bit of work, and time, but I get to do it in a place I love, and it gives me a chance to share with people I care about. Love the area, the history, not any notion of showing off any trappings. It is selfish of me, really, so I appreciate your desire to visit. A month would not do the nature, parks, attractions, art, justice, and our time is always too short, and I'm a real bear and bore about how much I love the area. Being out there in the beauty is my soul restorer. So, to all who have visited, and those to come, I send a 'Thank You'. And forgive my being annoyed at myself, because it's not the pressure of having guests, but my self-inflicted pressure to make sure you have the best visit you can. Sorry to go on, AGAIN, but I have found out more about myself here than anyplace, ever. I fret and worry SO much about each person visiting having the same experience I do, it's hard for me to enjoy your company, and that's just wrong. Trying to manipulate things into the perfect place, is wrong. Promise from now on, I'll do better, and enjoy your visit, hoping you do too.
          Again, the :soapbox: I know. But writing to ya'll is better than $100/hour therapy. I start off meaning to only address what you're going through and end up talking about me. Such an egocentric!! That's why I always say ignore me and my rants. Just don't take away my place to post them, please!!!
          Speaking of Grateful, I've thought about you all day. You can't help your caring ways, can you? Whatever happens today, happens. It IS huge in your life, but pull back that guilt and responsibility, please. It overloads us, and I say this from personal experience. GET SELFISH! Enjoyed our talk last night, too.
          Break is over, your turn now. POST, someone besides me, please. I'M sick of me too. If you leave me alone too long, I get too introspective.

              Love it, Coco. You're such a a great addition here. Oh, and when you meet Fen and/or Sun, bring your magnifying glass and we shall sneak into the room while they are sleeping, solve the mystery. Surely you can do that if Fen visits. I'll never tell!

                Rubes--have fun!!! Well-- my sister use to have worse issues with my mom than me-- but she was better with boundaries than I was-- but my mom clearly favored me while we were grwoing up. Now she is sick of being odd man out and is kissing my mom's ass to be teh favorite. She does not lknow what damage that can bring so she is welcome to it. We will stay off the topic of my mom for sure. Time to get the dinner ready-- long day today and I did not do most of the to do list!

                      Took down my mom's Christmas tree today...put all her ornaments back up in the attic. We went to visit her sister (sister's birthday was yesterday), and went shopping. A pretty good day, thus far. Got a distress call from Mrs. Fen when I was out with my mom...she had a "Youtube" worthy root canal procedure today...apparently the antibiotic she'd been on was not enough to tackle the infection in her tooth, and there were gobs of pus everywhere! So bummed I missed out on it. I just picked up her new prescription for a different antibiotic. I guess that explains why her tooth was still hurting after all these days on amoxicillin. I think I'll be tending to her quite a bit tonight...:h

                          Hi all - couldn't post 'cos I was at work!! Now eledest daughter and grands are here - I have tons of stuff to do too - youngest daughter keeps phoning and hubs has phoned twice - friend who sold me a TV wants me to pick it up - can you tell I am about to tear my hair out? I NEED peace and quiet - I have stuff to do to get ready for my trip!!! I work tomorrow night so have to get stuff ready this evening - although I do have tomorrow morning I suppose! Daughter is wondering where I am - have to go. back later,

                            Fen........talking about tattoos ! The girls in our family were talking about getting a tattoo.....my one niece told us that she would get a little daisy on her rump......no one though anything of it ...She's 15 and is thin. Of course I had to inject my opinion.....I told her.....that's all good right now, but when you get older and gain about 30lbs. .......that daisy is going to look like a Sun Flower ! Ha! Things were thrown at me after that ! Ha!

                              Wow, Fen, that's an awful thing about the tooth. What AB is she on now? I have the world's worth teeth, so I've been there, but hope to never return. Did they do the root canal anyway? Very painful, so be a sweetheart, as usual, to make her comfortable. Glad you spent time with your mom, did her chores. How's she doing health-wise, by the way? Dealing with seniors is always complicated.
                              Sun, I know how you feel. I'm finishing up dinner, still cleaning, swore to the grands who came today I'd set their hair on fire if they left messes. Gracie, as usual, was a raucous miscreant, and I ended up spraying her with room deoderizer after about the 30th practical joke she played on me. Threatened to wash her hair in the toilet next!
                              I'll be up late, (if Sun can do it, I can!) to finish up my chores. Got an e-mail from the N Georgia Rottweiler club with suggestions for finding my new 4-legged buddy, so still moving forward. Sun, Jan, I'll be e-mailing or PMing some infor a bit later.
