I have been invited to attend an R2R meeting and was assured I would enjoy it, not having heard of this before I wonder if any of you have ever attended anything like this and what you thought of it. I believe it is a variant of AA .... any comments appreciated. Thank you. Tea x

R_R in the states refers to rational recovery. This program is a for profit program with owners. Smart recovery broke away from them and is a non profit program. They are both based on scientific principals [behaviour modification based ] compared to AA, for fighting addication. You can find much info on the net about them. I did use smart recovery at the start of my recovery along with MWO.Never went to a face to face meeting.
You never know if a program is the right one for you if you don't try it. Not like joining up for a years membership. Give it a go.
