Anyone heard from stirly today?
Mr. Stirly admitted to hospital. Blood taken for tests, cardiograph done and blood pressure checked a couple of times. He's in a double room which is great. Flat screen TV provided by the hospital. He's bored to death. And out of cigarillos. I got back almost two hours ago - 7:50 pm my time. Left work a little after 5 pm. - went to see Mr. Stirly, then to try and find a couple of things he needs. Had to walk Freddo as soon as I got back and then had a quick bite to eat. As I was chewing the last forkful I got a phone call that Mr. Stirly is out of his cigarillos and can I go pick some up to take to him tomorrow along with his reading glasses that he forgot. Quick trip to the town centre only to find that no one sells that particular brand so I will have to go through the centre of Athens tomorrow after work on my way to the hospital. Hope he can hold out that long. Not meaning to be flippant here but you have to have a chuckle at the priorities. Surgery days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday so I expect it will be done on Monday. If not, then Wednesday. For some reason, I am not at all worried about the surgery and am 100% confident that all will go well and that he will have a speedy and complete recovery. I guess it's my positive attitude that's kicked in big-time. Thanks again to all of you for your kind words and for caring so much. Your posts and PM's have played a big part in my being able to face this so positively. I just know we are going to beat this - there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever. I'll keep you up to date as best I can. Am off to walk Freddo and then to bed. Wishing all of you wonderful people

And again, to Zeppie....:h:h for that wee bint. For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
