How was Mr stirly today? Still bored out of his wotsit?
Bored to fecking death, Reccie. He's walked about a zillion kilometres around the grounds of the hospital and down long corridors and such to keep his stamina up. He hates, hates, hates waiting, as I do. No word yet as to when the surgery will be done. We did hear that he is to have a Cat scan tomorrow so I hope the information was correct. I'd like it if he had an MRI as well but from what I understand it's a very noisy procedure and would probably drive him :nutso:. I must say tho' that for a person who is usually negative, he's calmer than I expected him to be and is accepting the whole situation a bit more with each passing day. From what he's heard so far, it will be a difficult operation and a very painful recovery in the beginning. But it has to be done and we'll just take it one step at a time. It can be :boxer: and we're going to do it.

Acksherly, I'd be more than happy with second place. Ecstatic, even.

It must be tough with all the waiting, stirly, but it sounded as though the time between diagnosis and surgery would be relatively short overall? I'm sure you're already aware that us blokes tend to have a slightly more "distant" relationship with the medical profession than women do. We prefer not have have anything to do with doctors and hospitals at all, basically. It's good that your husband is taking it well though, and I know you'll be with him every step of the way. Do you have any indication of what the recovery time might be if everything goes to plan?

I wish I knew. I'd be living the life of a billionaire if I had the answer.

I remember being as good as gold some weeks and loosing half a pound, then other weeks getting 2lbs and I'd done nowt different.
