Army Thread 20th January
Ackshully, I just read something that the lack of a hangover can be a serious sign of liver damage in a heavy drinker. Now don't quote me as I can't for the life of me remember where I read it.
I suppose I should have said I'm fecking glad to wake up not coughing, retching, shaking and craving the next drink. It could be worse, I could be filing.
AF since 7/7/2009

Evening guys
I'm being my usual sceptical self and thinking that a pedometer is going to tell me what I already know, i.e. that I don't get enough exercise. There are so many other things to spend money on. Having said that, I'll still be very interested to hear what the troops have to say about pedometers. I'm afraid I did laugh when you said you were getting yours from Age Concern, Jackie....fortunately I'd just swallowed my coffee so the screen and keyboard were spared!
I know what you mean, ktabs, about talking about AL on a daily basis in order to make yourself accountable. One of the things I've wanted to do is to post the number of days I've been AF each day, not in order to boast or to seek praise (which the army always gives so generously), but in order to be accountable to myself. But I know it would sound like attention-seeking, so I've settled for adding my AF date to my signature.
I never had hangovers when drinking heavily......I attribute this to the fact that I drank half whisky and half water, so was always properly hydrated. But maybe it was simply the fact of drinking every day that kept me hangover free. I did always feel very lethargic at the start of every day though, and often all through the day.

Evening Troops, all had a good day?
Yeah KTAB: i'M A GIRL, WELL I WAS THE LAST TIME I LOOKED, LOLI love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.
