A happy thread: Weight success stories on MWO!!!

MWO vets, let's say something positive about our weight loss results to provide some healthy inspiration to others to start the new year. Here's a start. I started in May and lost 15 lbs in about 4 months without diet or exercise, just by moderating my alcohol intake and I have kept it off, even after the holidays. Everyone notices! I dropped a whole size. I just tell people I reduced my intake of takeout and restaurant meals. I haven't been at this weight in 15 years. I plan to stick with the MWO program and add exercise and healthier eating this year to be at my target weight since I still have some weight to lose. This has been the kick in the butt that I needed. I can hardly believe it!

    Way to go MWQV!!
I'm down about 13 pounds myself. Helloooooooooooo size 4!! Whaaa hooo!!! Getting to the gym sure is easier with no hangover. EVERYTHING is easier with no hangover. You'd have thunk I would have figgered this out a long time ago.... duuuhhhhh.
Now if I coulda just shifted that weight upwards a bit... We could have some other size changes, ya know? Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers.

Proud of you ! Great when people notice, huh?

Yahoo!:goodjob: you guys! Well I was down about 12 lbs from when I started MWOa year ago. But that was this summer & I think part of the weight loss was do to literally "running my ass off" @ the cafe, with no time to eat! Now that it's winter & things have slowed down a bit... I'm back up about 3 or 4 lbs, ot maybe it's just PMS!:H Still wearing the same pants @ work.. but they're not as loose a fit...

Also muscle weighs a lot! And I work out all the time, sooo...

Congratulations on everyone's success. Yes, everything is easier when you're not hungover. You feel like all the difficulty of being "good" pays off when you start to feel good. Especially when people stop you to say "what are you doing because you look terrific!"

Gabby - 35 LBS! You must be so proud!

Thanks for motivating me even more!

                        Hi all,
I was feeling very jealous with this thread as I didnt think I had lost anything but I tried on a couple of things in my cupboard than were quite tight only to find they were swimming on me.
It was a really good start to the day and I thought of this thread and had to add my 2 cents worth to it too.
                        Have a great day all.

                          Hi all

I am really pleased to hear about the weight loses, but I have been AF for 7 days and have not lost 1lb. I'm not eating more than usual.......oh yes it's coming back to me!!!! I've rediscovered my love for chocolate. But I am determined to join you all in the weight loss....soon!

                            weight loss

                            I lost 13 pounds in 6 weeks.(af)

I'm now having one to three drinks a day and have not gained any weight back. I am walking three times a week and altered my diet a slight bit. I believe that as long as you don't replace booze with bad food, the weight will just start falling off. Good luck to everyone.

I agree Sola -- it can be tempting to replace that night time drinking especially with some comforting food. I too am down 10 lbs this year since starting last January. For me it was a combination of the Topa in the beginning, less calories with less wine, and I felt better during the day so I upped my exercise. Most days before finding this site I was too hungover to bother with exercise even though its always been important to me.

Now I just need to build a little more muscle!
