A fantastic list.. I could add:

I risk losing my partner and children when I drink
I have lost my job due to my drinking and risk losing my current one
I become aggressive and rude when I drink
I gamble when I drink
I can become suicidal when I drink

and I guess the list goes on..

I don’t have motivation to help them with homework and support a routine

I loved this the first time as I was reading posts then, I wrote it in my diary and have added to it from time to time. It was so real to me then and it made me realise this is not just me and with help and support I can make it too

When I drink

I don't spend enough time focusing on my children
Focusing on my son who has autism and figuring out his needs
I hide from life
I forget conversations
I don't call friends
I don't want to call friends or avoid them when they do call
I have a short temper
I isolate
I avoid my husband
I am not productive at work to say the least
I don't like myself
I verbally abuse myself the day after drinking too much ALL DAY LONG.

So that is why I have decided to take my life back with sincere thanks to this site and the people here!
