    Army Thread 30th January

    Yo Reccy,

I'm saving that for later, just in case Mr JC can't unearth them.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

No not quite. I've still got the e-mail with the blank forms, but these have been filled in.

How's your day been (apart from losing your IBA stuff)?

        Edit: Xpost again!

Ackshully it's been rather a good day. When I was typing in my answers I surprised myself at how much knowledge I'd actually taken in and rather chuffed that my rough draft of the evaluation reads rather well. If I do say so myself.

Now the dreaded question, Reccybear. Have you finished you tax return.

Hope you get it done at a decent price. Just found out that both of Mr. Stirly's vehicles are overdo for safety checks - I gather that's what you took your car for. The Freelander will pass okay but the little truck we have for the store has recently lost it's hand brake. So that will have to be fixed first. Dawg knows when I'm going to find time to do that and then get them checked.

I read on the internet that a guy who was drunk set alight to himself and tried to set fire to his girlfriend due to her being unfaithful........it makes me think would he have done that if he was sober.......
Geez, that guy sounds like a winner....

I thought we going to lose our old dog today cos he's been ill over the weekend, but the vet reckons he's got colitis and he's confident the dog will get better. He doesn't think he'll last the year tho cos he's very old, but at least we get him for a bit longer. Big sighs of relief this end I can tell you.
Sooty - glad to hear that your dogger is going to get better. :l

The soles of my feet are feeling quite bruised cos of the new trainers. Hopefully that'll sort itself out in a week or so. Still walking every day, but running is too painful for now. Soon, though!
Take it easy Reccie, dear. Good that you've been getting out and about but why would your feet be bruised from the new trainers? I couldn't run to save my life. Well not more that maybe fifty yards tops.

Just to let you all know, Mr. Stirly has improved much over the past few days that he's been home. We even went to a local shopping mall on Saturday and out for coffee with friends on Sunday morning. Several friends and family members dropped by at various times over the weekend to see him now that he's home. He loved the attention. He got his stitches taken out yesterday and the doctor told him he can eat anything he wants except legumes and carbonated drinks or beer - things that would cause gas in his stomach. He has to be careful tho' and eat salads and foods that contain fibre. So I made him have a salad instead of fries with his cheeseburger.:H

                      That's good to hear, jackie.

I'm making good progress with the tax return, at long last, though there's still some work left to be done. I spend six months worrying about it every year and then get into a panic in the last few days of January, hunting madly through drawers and cupboards for statements and other bits of paper that haven't seen the daylight since the day they landed on the doormat.

Hiya stirly! I was wondering if you would be posting tonight. Great to hear that Mr Stirly is doing so well .

My feet are bruised cos the new trainers are designed to correct overpronation, so parts of the underside of my feet are making contact with the trainers that weren't making contact before:

Is Mr Stirly still talking about going back to work?

                          Hello zeppie!
