This is just the General Reference section, more specific Cookery, Art Books etc. are somewhere else. My first port of call nowadays is Old Mrs. Google. But I can't bring myself to get rid of them because just sitting near them makes me feel brainy.

        Hi Undies,

Have been up Lake Macquarie cleaning mates catamaran for 4 days then got back home and have been flat out cleaning house, putting motor cycle up for sale and running round like blue arsed fly. Sorry Undies but just haven't turned on computer since last Thursday. So my sincere apologies.

She was a bit of a mess inside and out, and Mr Rags when he first stepped on board said that maybe we better find a motel for the night! But it wasn't too bad below.

And, the reward for cleaning and maintaining it for the next 12 months is that we get to sail it!! How 'bout that Reggie!

The chap who has a yacht on the next mooring is going to help us re-rig the sails on 24th Feb. Then we will be able to sail her..... after she gets her bottom scrubbed clean.

Once again Undies, my sincere apologies for not being on line for the ast week.

And for not having read back... so I don't really know what is happening to yoy and how you all are.

            Sunny, how have you been?

Missy, you semi OK with back to school hassles?

Happs, how has the rain affected you?

            And you too Bridge?

I hope to be on line with you all probably next Monday or Tuesday... US west coast time .

I have to go get some shut eye , so catch you soonish.

PS the lyrebirds have been giving some beautiful vocal performances the last few days... but so elusive I haven't been able to see where they are...

              GERK!!!!!

Reggie, the gear pushrod was all rusted up and stuck in neutral (which is sort of a good place to be stuck). Took Mr Rags and I and a heap of sandpaper and steel wool to free it up.

Mr Rags getting at the push rod. I chose the cossies. Do you like them? It's so I don't lose hom in a crowd.

You want to come up for a few days later in the year? We plan to do a fair bit of sailing round Lake Macquarie, and also take her to Sinny and to Pt Stephens. I'd love ypu to come up for a long weekend if you can.

Not too bad actually depending on conditions. I prefer a cat to a lean over boat. Except when it exceeds its point of vanishing stability...

When we were seriously talking to Lightwave in 2007 when we thought we were getting one, I talked about them setting a jackline along the hull in case she capsized at sea. (Sigh).

Reggie, if it was ours to do what we wanted, I'd sail it right down to Port Phillip and pick you up for a rip round the Bay.

                      BTW, that's a Seawind 1000 launched 2004.

OK now I really have to go to bed.
Catch you all in a few days.

                      Sleep well, pleasant dreams.

                          Hi honey, i'm home!

Good to see you Rags. Safe travel's friend.

Went down the coast to Gunnamatta and Sorrento today. Wow! Bloody marvellous. Swam in the surf, a noice easy long jog on the beach, and lunch in the nice, but 'trendy' town of Sorrento. Those beaches are something else. Massive, green, inviting, fresh, clear, clean, and a horizon. A relaxing and energising day.

                          G'noight.

Spent the early hours after I woke up watching Jane Eyre movie which was due back at the video store this morning. Note to self: dont bother with drab and depressing movies. Chick flicks might be superficial, but at least they make me smile.

Hey there friends. I'm just leaving the TCP in Scottsdale. The golf and weather were excellent. Most of the folks in the corporate tent are drunk. I never was ever more aware of alcohols effects than today. They are waiting for the birds nest to open. The birds nest is a huge tent where everyone goes, including the pros to loosen up.

I met Kathy. She is an IT software development VP for my former company. She was sucking down vodka and grapefruit juice like I once did. She started asking me about triathlon stuff and we hit it off. This was at 10:30 this morning. At 2:30 PM the EMT came to pick her up since she passed out moving from the corporate tent to the birds nest to see if they opened early.

                                YIKES!!!!
