Hows today for you lovely girl? Did work go down well or is it a no go zone?
I just had the best laugh of the day. Awesome visual, you should offer him a peg leg.

Work sucked a big one, but there's a lot to do this week, lots of problems to solve. So must keep going forward.

We managed to organise a video Skype call with Mr B's boy last night via Mr B's i-phone and boy's computer. So we could see his bedrooom (which he has to himself and isn't sharing) and it was an hour of being able to just chat with him - not as good as face to face but so much better than text or emails. He looks very happy and un-stressed and says that he "loves it here in a weird sort of way". I'm feeling optimistic about this situation again. I sent him my first weekly email on Friday, which he received, and apologised for not responding to, but I dont expect he ever will :H (he isn't a writer). I'll just keep sending them anyway

Afterwards we watched all 5 hours of "Living in the Material World" - bloody great tribute to George Harrison and all guitar players :h It had a lot of photos that I hadn't seen before by that amazing (woman) photographer whose name I have forgotten

Probably better off cooking for yourself for now. If you;re heading to San Francisco I can start a book restaurants for you to visit. Are you go anywhere else outside of Mammoth?
              Hi there Sunny,
No, there really isn't any coriander, by any name. It's VON's supermarket. But I really wanted some surry paste or powder so I could do curried egg and letuce sammies. They carry absolutely nothing for asian cooking other than a few packets of sushi rice. They stock tons os stuff for mexican style cooking though, which I guess makes sense.
Lots of the staff are hispanic.

Won't be in SF just here then straight back home again.
              WIll report on Lakefront tomorow.

                Hello Undies!

Checking in from the Southern Sierra Nevada mountains.
Had a solid 11 hours sleep last night. We’d been like walking zombies all day.
Our room was cleaned and we’d left 2 cups in the sink....when we came back, the dishwasher was running....... you guessed it....the cleaners had put the two cups through the dishwasher.
Can’t get a tea towel or a plug for the sink. Will see if I can get some when I go to town next.

Bathtub saw an ad for skidoo rides, so she’s organising the Teddies and us for a ride on Wednesday (Thurs in Aus).

GOOD SAMARITAN: When I was at LA airport I went to get coffees for Mr Rags and I, and long story short, dropped $500 out of my bag (all my spending $$$). A lady ran after me with all this money in her hand. “Ma’am, you accidentally dropped this”. I was completely stunned and overwhelmed. What a great thing to do. She could have walked away with it and I wouldn’t have missed it till to-day.
We have booked into the Lakefront Restaurant for dinner tomorrow night... it’s supposed to be very good and not child friendly. So photos and a review in a couple of days.

Got half a pound each of raspberries and strawberries for about $4each. So munching lots of berries for brekky.

One of last nights’ appetisers. No need for a main course.

Missy, that’s great... isn’t skype wonderful. How’s yer uke lessons going?

Mr G. Those quotes are a hoot.

Hi Cara, welcome to the Undies.

And here's the menu from what is purported to be the best restaurant in the district.
Interesting taste combinations. As Mr Rags said, "they don't know when to stop".

Overcast and sultry here and it's 10:30 am so I suppose we betterget dressed and go for a slide on the snow.

I actually did 7 years AF, 3 years ago. So I know I can do it, just need the reason to stop. Last time was because I was pregnant (so can't drink), this time I have AB (so can't drink). I am planning on taking it every morning until the AL thoughts are all gone.

wow, what a lovely lot of new people!!

Feeling a bit shivery this morning - hope I'm not coming down with the flu.

Tonight I'm going to a "social cooking" lesson with Mr B. They teach you how to cook a specific meal and then you get to eat it!! On tonights menu is Thai basil coconut chicken - I'm hoping that it will encourage Mr B to be a bit more adventurous with his cooking!!
