Raggsy - I bought my mate the Thai Banquet course at Spirit House - $150. The course is about 4-5 hrs long at the end of which they all sit down and eat what they made. He thought it was great and he did have prior experience.

Arvo to all
After a long discussion yesterday about the reasons for procrastination having become my worst enemy, and one I beat myself up for on a daily basis, I decided to spend the morning in bed reading, having a relaxing bath and not coming into work until really late. That makes up for the 5 hours of work that I did on Sunday, and I feel much better for it. I henceforth am going to clock the number of hours I work at nights and weekends and make sure that I take the same amount of time off within a fortnight.
Nicey, MumofTwo and Cara - it is so nice to have you posting!! MWO has been (and often still is) a lifeline for me. Best wishes for all your journeys and feel free to let it all hang out when you experience challenges along the way.
Raggsy - I split my sides reading about you pinching somebody else's skis :H:H BTW I am on the point of purchasing my tickets to Sydney - will PM you details, but if I can stay 2 nights with you and Mr Rags I'd be very grateful
Bridge - Wikipedia has a good post on memory pillows, why they smell as they do, and what you can do about it!!
Now I need some fashion advice!! My nephew's wedding invitation says "formal" and they are a fairly well-heeled young couple. Wedding itself is in the Sydney botanic gardens with reception in the Museum of Contemporary Art. As I dont do formal, dont have a dress at all (and dont really want to buy one that I'll never wear again!), dont know what the weather will be like (but assuming hot and humid) and dont want to look like the country hick from NZ, does anyone have any thoughts on what I could start looking for while the sales are on???!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Rose Byrne wore pants to the SAG??? awards or one of those. If it's good enough for her, I reckon you're in.
One can't beat the well cut black pant if you ask me. Then wear em anywhere. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

US National Parks
Bump--curious--WTF
Rags,
What U.S. National Park are you visiting? In my limited experience, our Parks aren't known for their culinary delights....their food/cooking/dining offerings are probably decided upon the lowest bidder's price. Mesa Verde (1999?) was the exception--fab food.
Our National Parks are sadly neglected. Mucho military spending, and all that...."Remember, you are responsible for creating your life by every thought, action, choice. Choose well." Oprah Winfrey

Hi there JuJu,
I'm at Mammoth ski area California.
But am going to try a couple of places in the village about 5 milesfrom here.
Meanwhile Mr Rags is about to cook me Nigella's smoked salmon and cream and egg pasta.

Raggsy - I reckon that woman chasing you with your $500 is a karma job. I don't know many people who are as generous as you are. The kindness came back.
So now I can't remember if I've addressed everybody - so please accept a vigorous wave in your general direction.
I didn't forget, (am having a few connection hassles here)
That is a very lovely thought. Thankyou. It means a lot to me. I'll endeavour# to continue to give.

Mr Rags..... Mr Innovation.....
The curtains in the bedroom don’t meet up and the sunlight was hitting us right in the face. Solution, a couple of skirt/trouser hangers. I’d never think of that in a zillion years.
