I'm fine, friends (except for the sun in my eyes in this office!) Nora, my best advice on the resume would be not to make it too long, be succinct in what you have to say about your experience. We can't help our age, or current time experience. But we CAN let them know from our life experience what is really expected, and also that we want to continue working indefinitely More and more employers are recognizing skills gained through experience. But there is a feeding frenzy out there of youngsters trying to find a job. So I wish you the best. I bet Oregon's beautiful.Anyone would would be lucky to have you.
Hubs is VERY pissed at me I'm not taking care as he has directed. Hmmmmmmmmmm, may b homeschooled.

In from work - and feeling better than I have in days! Have the worst sore throat - but I can handle that - it was the headaches i couldn't handle. just have a very tiny dull one right now but feel so much better!! What a relief! Kept busy at work and the day went by quickly. Enjoyed breakfast with friends this morning too - we do it about 4 times a year and I really enjoy meeting up with them!

Nora - I don't blame you for being scared about moving on, but older folk are often seen as more reliable than younger ones if that is any help!

Hey everyone. I can't tell you how much I've missed you all and have wanted to let you know how well everything is going here with all the family here, but I've been so flat out buying furniture, moving furniture around, getting Kaysi enrolled at the local school, getting the book list filled and everything covered and named for the first day of school last Wednesday. Our big school holidays are over summer, as are yours, but as our seasons are reverse, the kids knock off the school year just before Christmas and start again at the end of January or the beginning of February. It's been crazy, but I'm loving it. I'm so happy all the rumours proved to be false. Kaysi will be seeing a paediatrician for ADHD diagnosis and we're in the process of finding one for Ashe. Mine wouldn't see her because she doesn't deal with bi-polar or substance abuse (even though I told her Ashe was neither bi-polar nor abusing drugs/alcohol) and I have to wonder what sort of psych doesn't help those who need help the most. Like I said earlier, though, I'm only seeing her to get my scripts so I don't much care about her personality or prejudices.

Biz, I had the greatest joy of seeing my ex "trade down" from me. Here is her latest profile pic from Facebook. He occassionally posts on my FB that I'm looking younger than ever or some other slimy comment. I was out watering my front garden once and saw him drive by. Eddy-the Moron got everything he deserves as I see it. Every time I show anyone that picture or previous ones they all say "That's a man!" It's obvious to me she's never heard of tweezers...it's a great pity she wasn't born fifty years earlier...she'd have been invaluable in the French Resistance during the second world war...why, she could have smuggled several British airman undetected out of France in those eyebrows. Also, she could clothe all the naked little quokka babies year after year. She could have outdone us all in the Dos Gatos craft corner...not that we'd want her manky hair polluting the commune.

Nora, I'm so glad you're back with us and on the antabuse if that's what you need to do. Don't forget your journal...nag, nag, nag.

Fen, I've been missing our yahoo chats but hopefully we're settling into a routine and can get back to it soon. I'll be sending you a long email in reply to yours asap.

Biz, I'm sorry you've suffered another loss, but I'm so glad you're here sharing with everyone. We all need an outlet, and I can't think of a better place than here.

I feel like I'm coming down with a cold - which I never do! I have got to fight this off because I'm leaving Friday for my parents. I won't be able to go up there if I'm sick - I would be too worried about getting them sick plus my aunt is taking chemo. I just wouldn't be able to risk it. So, everybody send me some healthy thoughts please.

Nora, I just updated my resume. One page...short and sweet. I have really only had two jobs in my career. Starting a new job tomorrow. I too worked for a family owned business for 12 years and they started changing and I HATED it. I had to move on or go crazy. I think most employers will think your loyalty to one company is admirable myself.
Mish, yeah your ex traded down in the looks dept for sure. I have not seen this new GF but I here she is definately a trade down, but that makes me feel worse I think. I mean at least trade up. Oh well, I have the worst luck in relationships.
