Had the post office dream/nightmare again last nights. Some mornings my dream memories slip away before I'm out of bed, but that one always sticks with me. On top of that, the boss who used to chase me at another job worked there too, and I kept trying to hide from him and still do the impossible work.
I swear I have PTSD! :H
All this talk about fleas and I'm watching an old CSI about people who have hypertrichosis (wolf boy disease) where they grow hair all over their bodies. Can you see the problem they faced with fleas??
Hubs had an hour long 'interview' for a new job with the company. He's far and away the most qualified, already does the same work now. But with the big raise (and it's big) he's mumbling about working till 65 instead of retiring in January. Bummer. Would bring in a lot more money, and heft his retirement, but still bummer. I have told him that if that's his decision, I have to have some help with everything else. Also, one of my fav cousin's son is marrying in Boston over Memorial Day weekend, and I'm planning to go (probably alone, or I'll take some of my girls). Daddy would want me to do that. They are a typical big Italian family, and lots of fun. Anyone live near there? I'll probably fly in to Manchester since i hate Boston airport! Also AB's play is in early June, and I want to go to one or two of her four performances in Gainesville. It's 'Why I Became A Pirate.'
Sun, time for my pup's meds too. TMB looks even better than when ya'll saw her. I hate to see age creeping up on her, my security blanket, and like you, I know I can never replace her, but I'm looking for the right buddy. Have some very good leads through the GA Rottweiler club. Big breeders quickly choose their potential show dogs, and those they deem pet quality are what I'm looking at. But my mind is still open to adopting an older dog with the right qualities. I know these people are dedicated to the breed, and for me that's the only breed.
Kelly, Vick, T, Swannie, we all miss you terribly. And Tony, where are you? We all miss you when we don't hear from you.
Bird, I know it doesn't seem like it now, but you'll miss all this clatter one day. We all do.My grands are too busy for me now. Ry's birthday is coming up and I've found a game table I think would be great for them all, and they have a huge upstairs family room.
Sigh. Must start making phone calls and doing paper work. Part of the gig, you know.

G, I'M happy you are working on yourself. But we miss you too.
Just got off the phone with the breeder who who's dam whelped the puppy who appeared in Westminster a few years back. She's actively looking for me a companion puppy. Just hope I can afford it when she finds it. She said she could tell from our conversation this was the right place for one of them. Fingers crossed. They can never be sent to any place unapproved by the breeder if they don't work out.
