Mama-- it was so long ago-- I just learned to expect problems sometime-- but I would love to sleep!! I feel like a hockey Player with the head thing-- I was told my injury mirrored Pat LaFontaines who Played for the Sabres -- he wrote a book about his-- he almost lost his wife due to the changes right after-- now he is like me-- mostly fine but has sleep issues too

MB, Fen, my WRINKLES have wrinkles. Have fun, Fen, and is it cold there? I'm having to use the capitalization key just to type. YOWCH! Hate this keyboard, or computer. Sun, I got on a rant about dogs, decided it was TMI. Everyone has their own opinion, which is fine, as long as it doesn't infringe on mine or my dogs. It's like having people visit with badly behaved children. You can glare, but you can't strangle them.
Waiting on Tay and JC to come since he had to go in to work this AM, and I've been out and run all my 40 miles of errands. Have 1 last chore I wanted Hubs to take care of, but he's too busy, so will handle Monday. He talked to the head guy yesterday handling the new job, made some sort of joke, and the guy said 'you're not backing out on this are you? I really need to know if you are' so I'm guessing he's on the verge of a new position. Yuck. Our retirement is fine already, but Hubs was a late bloomer to the management scene, and escalated like crazy. His retirement is based on his last 3 years of work pay, so I believe they're dangling that carrot to get another 5 years from him. Oh, well. It will be, one way or the other. And 60 is the next, uhmmmm, 60, right?
ATL, I think you are remarkable in the way you handle things since your injury. So many people are changed dramatically with head injuries; I've seen it in several friends. Most recent was a branch cousin of mine who was a Federal judge, loved and respected. He had a bad fall with head injury while working at home, then in the last 2 years, arrested with a prostitute, drugs, and guns. You probably know of him, ATL, since it was all over the news. His grandmother and my grandfather were cousins. He's home now, and has a strong wife and family. So insomnia is really a small price, except when youre exhausted. Did AL help you sleep? Is that where the problem started? Really understandable, when there's a chronic problem. Thats how I started, because of pain and stress. And you're handling it all so well, despite what you've come to believe about yourself. Always know you can call on me, hon.
MB, hope you have a good weekend and sleep in, if your wrinkled neck doesn't smother you! (keyboard working at the moment) Really, you are the cutest little hummingbird, (Sun is a hummingbird in heat!) and shouldn't worry so much about your looks. You have gorgeous eyes, are funny and smart, hardworking, and have the love of 3 pampered men. And you KNOW they are! So lighten up on yourself too, and strut yourself, girl.

A hummingbird in heat? Well, I have been called worse things I suppose..... ROTFLMBO !! Glad you are feeling okay today - or you sound as if you are anyway! I too have been running errands today and am going to write to my mum in a minute, then think I will hoover through and then I suppose I need to do my ironing which has been waiting patiently for the past few days - LOL Youngest wants me to clip her cats claws today as well. I have a carrot cake in the oven - forgot to put the coconut in - darn it but the batter tasted really yummy anyway! I grated enough carrots for two but ran out of sugar so have to decide if I can be bothered to go and get some more. On my way back from cat clipping maybe?

I wish my hubs would decide to work another five years - I am really not looking forward to the 28th December 2012!! I tried to tell him we couldn't afford for him to retire but he said if we pull in our belts, we will be fine. He really does hate his job so don't blame him really. I said he will need to do something part time just to get out ! He is thinking of volunteering with the RC or something.

Anyway, back to clearing up the kitchen - just thought I would check in!

Sun, I would NOT allow himself to sit in the house all day either. It's his constant trips in and expecting food, his HUGE clumping boots, telling me how I can be more effective, and planning without my knowledge the time of, that make me crazy. That and his love of Pawn Star (he said Porn Star for a long time), alligator catches, antiques roadshow, etc.etc.etc. so I can't sit with him in front of his beloved big screen (and it's dying!) He can't seem to go out for a whole day, and even if he makes his own snacks, he's constantly asking where something is. (Where the HELL do you think I keep it, in the clothes hamper?? Yesterday, after time observing, I brought down TEN washcloths he's left in the shower. And when he DOES bring down with his dirties, he can't hit the basket. So yes, it's the little bad habits that drive us over the edge when they're here all the time. I tried to interest him in a consulting company, since his knowledge base is so extensive. He says 'when I quit, I quit.' Wherever I am, he needs to be. GAWD!!! I'm thinking of looking for him a mistress when he retires! But he hates for me to be away when he's working, even though all I do is feed him and sit with him for less than 2 hours every day.
I know I shouldn't complain, but like the saying 'you spend what you make', it's the same with being with someone who has had the same habits for 40+ years. But he's provided over and above anything we've ever needed, and I love his buttless self. And he KNOWS me, and I'm not changing that much either. We both could have done so much worse. Just wish the Crypt Keepers didn't live next door, but I still watch out for them.
Still waiting on those 2, so guess I'll sleep my way through traffic, if JC doesn't scare the H outta me driving.

The Hunger Game series is really popular - there is a film coming out in March. Everyone who reads it says it is really good. I haven't read it - it isn't my cup of tea but I have only heard good things about it Jan. I have yet to talk to anyone who didn't love it! I just did a window display yesterday using all the Hunger Games stuff! Enjoy !!

I suppose I should have some lunch - think I will have an avocado and tomato sarnie!!
