I'm back. My oldest, Beck, and her sweet man Chris, their 2 boys, go up often. Rented a cabin, so there was some room. Their mother would have known they were going, probably invited herself. When we got home, they quickly threw their stuff in their truck and skedaddled Beck had wanted me to go to breakfast with them at a spot I used to take her, but when I found out B would be there, I bowed out. No, no notes, nothing. They said they tried to get me to the door, but I slept hard and late today, so I didn't hear them. Those who've been to my house know they could have come to the back door of my BR and woke me. Just thoughtless and immature, and they know it. Gotta go, trying to spend time with MY man tonight. (He presented me with a terrible credit card statement when I got home. YOWCH!!) We've talked a lot about his promotion. I told him it's really funny to me that so many adults quake in front of him now in his job, and I just remind him I wash his underwear!! People ask him how I put up with him, and he tells me they should be afraid of me too. :H But he is a good and fair boss, a rarity these days. AND he says if this position becomes too much, for either of us, he can always just quit and come home. I truly do realize what a wonderful position I'm in today. Please don't think I'm bragging, considering all the problems out there, it's just that I'm proud of him, and so glad he's been recognized for his work.

Well, I have spent the entire day clearing out cupboards and closets! I feel pretty good about what I have done but haven't done as much as I would have liked to. Never mind - there is always tomorrow - oh no, hang on, I have my onc check up, then I work tomorrow. Might be able to do a little when I get home - other than that some more on my next day off.

Glad that you got home safely Rubes. Hope you enjoy your evening with Himself. You must be pretty tired!

Jan - hope your day was good - I laughed at your hubs saying you looked like Endora - I used to LOVE Bewitched! In UK it was on on a Thursday evening when I was young, and I really looked forward to it.

Rubes, I wonder if Mrs. Fen and your hubs are a bit alike. She started her own business eight years ago, and she's sort of a genius in her field, as her dad was in his. People quake before her, as they do before hubs, LOL! Sometimes I wonder how on earth I ended up with a business person like her, when I am so NOT inclined that way. I take care of the books and the house, and other stuff, though. When we go to Tick Hollow, she doesn't have to lift a finger. We really balance each other out, as I suspect you and hubs do. :h

Hi there everyone - Good morning Bird - have to laugh at us posting together!! Sorry you don't want to go to work - do you ever enjoy it? It is cold here too but not as cold as it was late last week - 28 this morning instead of 14. Positively t-shirt weather.....witha jumper and coat on top!
