AS some of you know, my property is adjacent to a Naval Air Station. They have been playing "War Games" for about a month now. The jets fly over every 30 minutes or so. They are practing landings on a carrier just off the coast.
We are all stipulating they are gearing up for Iran......into shower and out of here
more cat poop to clean up....Hubs is at his wits end.....I am not sure trouble will be with us much longer.....

I have to admit to being totally out of the loop re Israel and Iran - I NEVER watch the news - usually hubs keeps me up to date on stuff if there is something I should know - I know, I SHOULD know, but I tend to keep in my own little world where I am happy - the news is always so depressing. I will look on-line and read up on it. It sounds serious. There Jan and Ruby - I have given away my secret of how I seem so calm!! No worries !!

Everyone has been going on about shaving various body parts - something I really also wasn't aware of - should I know anything before I go to the GYN? LOL Or just be ME?

Yuck, I faced the music and am glad I'm hearing impaired. "Yes dear" at appropriate moments.
Sun, since opening oysters is notoriously hard, there are oyster shuckers to open tightly closed bivalves. Much as in the definition of D&C is 'dusting and cleaning'. Get it now?
I don't like reading the news either, but with the men in my family, military background, I worry forward. Iran is openly bragging about their nuclear advances, in spite of sanctions, and Israel is ignoring the diplomatic process, since they have been directly threatened. The US sits in the distinctive situation of not having missiles on our doorstep. But Iran is defying the world in it's stance, threatening to unlease nuclear weapons on it's perceived enemies. I've read that should this happen, not only the global environment, immediate casualties, and destruction in the immediate area, the global economy could also take a huge hit. We are all tied in some way. The US takes all the slams for it's 'oil wars', but the people who would suffer most in the fall out are the ones, especially in Europe, who point the fingers.
Enough politics. I truly pray it won't come to pass. And I agree, Tony, do it right the first time, and to hell with the ungratefuls. We have enough to clean up in the US.
Nora, I LOVE having you being lazy!! You can be here SO much more, and you're such a big part of us. This has been great for us too, you getting much-needed time off. After all, if anyone needs anything at home they can always call your FIL! :H

Fen, I've never considered the role body hair plays in our lives. HMMMM...... Must think about that. Of course, mine's more like duck-down, doesn't warrant a braid. Although, as I've mentioned, I have this one wild hair on the right side of my lip that shows up out of nowhere. Hubs, on the other hand, had exactly 3 chest hairs when we married. Now he's a science experiment. They sprout out everywhere. One of my wifely duties is to groom my werewolf for strays when he has important events. Then I hotglue them to the places on his head that are slightly balding. Problem is his hat seems to stick on it often. Maybe I'll consider some inventive grooming so he'll forget the credit card bill! :H
Grey, dark, drizzling day here, but shirt-sleeve weather. TMB has been banned from Ninny's pen when I'm feeding her because last night, after the marathon shopping with Tay and her confiding in me, grocery shopping, her nagging for an I-phone (not happening), Hubs nagging about charges, dinner at the nursing home, I was pouring out veggies and sweet feed for Nin and TMB decided to eat it. Nin came over to share and nudged TMB, and she nipped Nin's nose. So, with hurt feelings from Nin, a sharing lesson for TMB, I had to deal with my children. TMB is on probation, must stand at the gate and wonder if I'm feeding Nin a huge beef roast, and Nin gets extra apples. The price of sin, you know? :H
Another huge world issue with me is dress. I stopped for gas yesterday at 12:30, and a woman in the store had on pajama pants, house shoes, and a white T-shirt with no bra. She was NOT small, especially above the waist. Now, is it just me, or is this just wrong? And Fen, she had PENGUINS on her pants! I can see racing off to the hospital in critical situations, but to buy a slice of pizza and lottery tickets? Oy Vey.

Whatever you do, make sure you get those hairs out of hub's ears...gosh, I always want to get busy with those nose/ear hair trimmers when I see old duffers walking around with bird's nests coming out of their ears!:H

Bird, yes. It's better to let someone more objective look at them. Sometimes when I paint, I have to step back, wait a while, them look at my work. Or ask Hubs. That man is brutally honest, in a good way. But also, like looking at old photographs we once thought were awful, when we look later we see what we missed before. I'm sure they're just right.
Fen, I KNOW none of our crew would go out like that. I don't groom myself as well as I should, maybe, but come on!! Pajamas in a public place, no matter the circumstance. Remember when I was a wee one, women wore gloves to shop, running inside and eating on the street were verboten. As for Hubs, I keep the back of his neck shaved (it grows overnight) and his ears and nose clear of brush. Of course, he balks at letting me pulled the offending hair from his nose.
